Rather, it's a fun and interesting book that will test your knowledge and give you behind-the-scenes info on musical theater.I especially liked the "Did you know..." section at the end of each chapter. For example, who knew that the Tony Awards were named after...well, you'll just have to read it!You'll smile as you read because each chapter will spark a happy memory. You might even break into song! And, that's not such a bad thing.

A fun book! Any musical theatre fan will go crazy reading this one. Extensive analysis and a never-ending source of entertainment. It will end many debates, but it can cause you to lose your hair! Excellent for use in the classroom, with colleagues, or on your own. If you like Broadway, pick up this book and put your acting talents to the test!

Use these for a 6 hour drive to New York

Bought a gift for my son. He is in theatre. It’s a paperback book. It was as I expected.

Great concept. Enjoyed a lot of the book. Chapters 2, 6, 8, 9, 11, and 12 had wrong number of answers to match questions i.e. 24 answers for 20 questions. Also had absolutely wrong answers (chap 10 #21) which makes the rest of the answers subject to scrutiny. I would love to get an updated version of this book after it has been corrected.

Bought this for my mother, who has been a theatre teacher for 20 years and comes from a musical family. She has been enjoying it greatly and is very excited to quiz her family. I was the first to gift and she could hardly put it down to accept other gifts! She said she wished that when true or false questions were true they had a little more information, like the false ones do, but otherwise is very much having fun with it and loving the did-you-know?s, about 70% of which she did know, but was very excited to rehash.

This was part of a themed gift and was a big hit!

The book covers a nice variety of topics and is organized chronologically and by genre. We really enjoyed quizzing each other with the questions in each chapter. The only slightly disappointing thing was that the answers to the quizzes were given in bulk at the end of each chapter. So, if you are going to do it like a quiz, you have to write down your answers on a sheet of paper. We would have preferred to do the questions one-by one, with each question being followed immediately by its answer. On the whole though, an entertaining and enjoyable book!

Product was as expected, delivered in a timely manner. Recipient seemed happy with it.

Sadly, the answers don’t correspond. It’s extremely difficult to follow the answers. So many incomplete answers. Maybe it’s in the printing? So disappointing. Because otherwise it has great questions!
