Sometimes we work from home and the "office" is in the basement. We have a large (4' x 8') standing/rolling whiteboard that we use regularly. I got tired of moving the whiteboard around and wanted to make some extra space. So, I decided to take the rolling metal frame off the whiteboard and mount it to the ceiling so that it can fold up against the ceiling. Our basement does not have a finished ceiling but, instead, you can see the upstairs floor joists as the basement ceiling. We put two of these butterfly hinges on one side and a door flip latch on the other. Now, we can store the whiteboard much easier by folding it up against the ceiling when we aren't using it. Then, when we need it, we can easily release the latch and let it flip down. Works Perfectly!

The media could not be loaded.  After seeing a video from “The Print Life” on YouTube, I had to get my hubby on building me a screen printer. Gotta say, these hinges are perfect for the job. This is a great alternative to buying a real screen printer (usually super expensive compared to this build). They’ve held up just fine so far, even with paint getting all over them!
