Middle-Note & Full but Not Outstnading for anything Particular
Coffee taste is hard to describe. Howver, there is the perfurmery analogy of top-note, middle-note, bottom-note. There is also aroma and "finish". I find it best to think of coffee as an audio system and what is the equaliztion. More than just bass, midrange and treble. But the relative emphasis of those three is a good start. You can have too much or too little of any of the three. Unless you like a particular "frequency" in your coffee. For example, for a long time I liked Haitian coffee (it was banned for a while). Haitian is very strong TREBLE, I would detest that in an auditosystem but I happend to like that in coffee. But then I got tired of the high acidity of Haitian coffee that accompanied its high emphasis in the treble range. I found a cofee that was high-treble but less acidity than Haitian, but I can't remember it. Moving on down, there is Maxwell House instant. It is so strong in midrange. Too strong in midrange. It could use more of the at least lower treble frequencies. For decaf folks (don't throw your mug at me), Maxwell House Decaf is the best decaf. Better than even Sanka. Maxwell House Decaf is not overly bulgy in midrange like their non-decaf instant. Folgers of any sort is terrible. Especially brewed Folgers regular and Brewed Folgers decaf. They are like an audio system with a subwoofer -- and ONLY as subwoofer, almost no bass driver let alone midrange speaker and tweeter. Folgers doesn't know that a midrange speaker or a tweeter exists. Starbucks? They just burn their coffee to make sure it is bitter. (Maybe to cause you to buy flavorings??) THIS Coffee by Kenco is a combination of INSTANT Coffee (evaporated brewed coffee) + MICROSIZED PARTICLES OF COFFEEBEAN. Jakob's has many instant coffees, but one was a Millcano -- like this in formulation. But this one is a better Mellicano. More stretched out so a little less bass than the other Mellicano. It is not as full bodied as the very best of coffees such as Carribou Amy's blend -- that had a wide frequency range with a touch of fruity in its treble. That was my favorite coffee of all. Kenco Mellican is overall rather like Taster's Choice, emphasizing Midrange, but less than Maxwell House does, and adds a bit of grainy taste. Grainy taste isn't mouthfeel. The coffee doesn't "taste" gritty, but by grainy I mean the taste or FLAVOR of cereal -- but neither malt nor hops, nor exactly wheat. So, to sum up: less-emphatic on midrange, wider frequency response than Maxwell house, more harmonious than Taster's Choice with a touch of grain flavor. Kenco Millicano is not strong in any dimension. So if you need that, go to Folgers for pure subwoofer, Haitian for treble, Maxwell House for too prominent midrange and perhaps Taster's Choice for a slightly more-bass version of this Millicano. This Millicano does have just a hint of grain taste so although subtle, it makes it a little different. The only thing I did not like was trivial. The footprint of the big cannister. Took up too big an area. Last time I order, same total quantity was delivered (actually about an oz or two extra), but as 3 SLENDER cannisters. I liked that much more.

Absolutely awesome coffee. Don't be put off by the fact ...
Absolutely awesome coffee. Don't be put off by the fact that this is instant coffee - it is fabulous. Living in the US we get used to bland watery and bitter filter coffee - but this is bold, silky and smooth - so I import it from the UK. I have a kettle that gets water to 192F which steeps the coffee perfectly (boiling water will burn the coffee and it will taste bitter and bland).AWESOME COFFEE! Trust me! Try it!

Excellent Coffee
This is excellent instant coffee - it’s very strong but I love strong coffee and you don’t have to drink much of it so the value for how much you use each day is definitely worth it.

good coffee
It tastes good. Only sometimes some of the coffee doesn't dissolve quite as well as I would like.

GREAT COFFEE!!
GREAT coffee!! I discovered this coffee in Scotland and fell in love with it. I save it for traveling. Too bad it's so expensive. But I do get to enjoy it when I visit folks and don't have to run to the closest coffee place.
