Lonely Planet Madrid

Bought this book well in advance of any planned trip to Madrid. Just returned after three nights from a warm tranquil stay at Puerto de Toledo. Lonlely planet guide to Madrid is the Bible to survival and getting the best from any Short Stay. Convenient size book less than 200 pages fits easily into the pocket of cargo pants and has the added advantage of a free free map at the back. All the information regarding museums travel transportation fully up-to-date including the prices. Full of invaluable information as well as Off the Beaten Track areas around Madrid. My only criticism is that did not have enough time to explore more of Madrid. Maps of will Well constructed information structured and very easy to read. No traveller can survive without out a Lonely Planet book. You can use this to plan ahead or in real time and everything within the book is within easy access. Whether you are into culture Sports or just simple relaxation this is the ideal book which will assist you in your survival for a pleasant joyful time in Madrid. It is certainly suitable for all categories and all budgets of travellers., buy and read and read and read and explore and above all enjoy Madrid.

A very useful guidebook that is full of information on what to see and do in Madrid, with information on places I would never have otherwise known about.Many useful maps and photographs.The book itself is also the perfect size to fit in a backpack and is large enough that you can see the maps etc. clearly but not too big as to be cumbersome.

It' pretty up-to-date and detailed. Can't decide if I prefer this guide or the Time Out Guide.

Useful for reference and planning on our recent visit to the Madrid area.
