Is there any documentation that there are only 3000 produced?

Mugs are not numbered. Made in China, no other information stating number made.

In the advertisement for this stein it states that only 3000 were made. Is there any documentation to back this statement?

No, I looked and didn't see anyhting. I still like it though, bought it as a White Elephant xmas gift.

Will I hear a scream of "OFF WITH HIS HEAD!" before I open it?

no but I heard it comes with a small jar of gold liquid and a stack of fake money
