Excellent cutting pad for serious paint correction
The Chemical Guys Quantum Medium-Heavy Cutting Pad is a must-have for anyone looking to achieve professional-grade results in paint correction. I used this 5.5-inch orange pad with an orbital polisher and a 5-inch backing plate, and the performance was outstanding. The Hex-Logic design is more than just a visual feature—it truly helps distribute product evenly and reduces heat buildup during extended use. I was able to remove moderate to heavy swirl marks, oxidation, and scratches from my car’s clear coat with ease. The medium-heavy cutting power strikes the perfect balance between aggressiveness and control, allowing for precise work without compromising the paint.Durability is another area where this pad shines. After multiple cars and several cleaning cycles, it held up remarkably well without losing its cutting ability or shape. Cleanup was easy—just a quick rinse with Chemical Guys pad cleaner, and it was ready for the next job.One of my favorite features is the beveled edge, which ensures smooth transitions and prevents the pad from digging into curves or edges. This design also minimizes the chances of leaving buffer trails, making it ideal for anyone new to paint correction. If I had to mention one drawback, it’s that the pad requires proper priming and technique to avoid clogging with compound or polish. However, this is a minor issue that can be resolved with proper maintenance and cleaning.Overall, the Hex-Logic Quantum Cutting Pad is an exceptional tool for detailers, whether you’re a hobbyist or a professional. Its performance, durability, and thoughtful design make it a worthwhile investment for anyone serious about paint correction.

Tuff Pad
I recently used the Chemical Guys Hex-Logic Buffing Pads while polishing my Jeep Gladiator, and I was thoroughly impressed with their performance. After testing several brands of buffing pads, the Hex-Logic pads stood out as the best by far.Unlike other pads I tried, which were prone to overheating and adhesive failure, the Hex-Logic pads maintained a consistently cool temperature throughout the process. This is crucial, as excessive heat can compromise the buffing process and lead to poor results. The Hex-Logic pads demonstrated exceptional durability, showing no signs of heat-related degradation even during extended use.The hook-and-loop attachment system is another standout feature. It provides a secure, reliable connection with no issues during use. While these pads are priced slightly higher than some competing brands, the quality and performance justify the investment.Additionally, the Hex-Logic pads come in a variety of sizes and cutting/polishing grits, making them versatile and suitable for a range of detailing needs.I highly recommend the Chemical Guys Hex-Logic Buffing Pads for anyone looking for reliable, high-quality buffing pads that deliver professional results.

Fast cut but not durable
It has large pores, it does cut quickly but you need to use low speeds, or else this will fall apart quickly. I prefer using microfiber pads as they are more durable.

Ease of use
Chemical Guys Hex-Logic Quantum Polishing/Finishing Pad Review As a complete novice to auto detailing, I was honestly a bit intimidated at first. I had never done any sort of detailing before, but after picking up a set of the Chemical Guys Hex-Logic Quantum Polishing/Finishing Pads (Blue, 5.5-inch) to go with my new TORQX Random Orbital Polisher, the whole process turned out to be effortless. The pads were incredibly easy to use, even for someone with no prior experience. The hexagonal design really helps distribute the polish evenly, and combined with the TORQX, it made achieving a smooth, professional-looking finish much simpler than I expected. The medium-soft texture of the blue pads worked perfectly for light polishing and finishing without causing any damage to the paint. What surprised me the most was how forgiving and user-friendly these pads were. Even as a beginner, I felt confident while using them, and the results exceeded my expectations. Plus, they’re durable enough to withstand multiple uses while still performing like new, and cleanup was hassle-free.I’d recommend these pads to anyone, especially if you’re new to detailing. They made my first experience so easy and enjoyable that I’m already looking forward to the next project.

Favorite Chemical Guys pad!
We are typically big users of Rupes and Lake Country pads but these Hex pads are awesome for 1step polishes and quick paint enhancements! They are extremely durable and even work well with elevated heat!We have used these outdoors on boats and RVs and haven't noticed the adhesive that holds the backing for the pad breaking down which is an extremely common issue for us with other pads!Definitely worth trying!

These work
I use this on my Porter Orbital polisher to apply the paste wax to my car. It helps to apply it in nice even swirls, not to heavy and not too little. I have purchased and used these numerous times over the years and highly recommend these. I toss mine after I am finished with it (one time use), as they are extremely hard to clean even with Adam's Pad Cleaner solution. Kind of expensive I know for just tossing, but think what you would pay at a detailer shop for the same wax job as what you can do in the comfort of your own garage. There you go.
