No it doesn’t fold up, so you’d need to press the button to release and pull the poles out of the brackets then can (quickly & easily) reassemble it on-site. It’s very sturdy once it’s assembled. Very well made.

What is the maximum weight this rack will support?

I would not buy this the legs bend.
