Malden8x10 Matted Picture Frame - Made to Display Pictures 5x7 with Mat, or 8x10 without Mat - Black

Nice looking frame! I love the modern-rustic gray look. I bought this frame to match the style of the ones I got from Kohls. It is the same brand and matches perfectly. I just couldn’t find it at Kohls. It’s going to be a good addition to the picture wall shelf I built. 😊

I wish I'd taken a picture. The manufacturer put a bar code sticker on the front part of the frame itself. I got the sticker off and used Goo Gone to remove the residue. Not only did the residue not come off, but the black matte finish changed to shiny. I thought it was because it was wet but it never changed after it dried. Permanently ruined the frame and too late to return. This was supposed to be part of a gift but I'll have to swap out the frame. Otherwise, the construction was ok. I did have a problem with how high the brackets were placed to tie the wire to, not much room to still have it hidden when hung on the wall.

I don't usually take time to write reviews unless I am 'over the top thrilled' or 'want to warn others of a problem'. I ordered 2 of these frames and they came today. They were exactly what I had wanted for a display and seemed good quality. But when I turned them over both had a large amount of mold all over the back, especially near the edges. I took them apart and the only thing unaffected was the mat. Because the mat was in good condition, I took them apart and meticulously removed all of the mold from the frame, glass and backing. The insert pieces had to be thrown away of course. I really did not have time to return them since needed for x-mas, so hopefully the cleaning I did will retard further growth. But be aware they are either keeping these in the warehouse too long or there is some other problem with handling.

I love everything about this frame except the white matting is so white that it has a blue undertone to it making it look cheap. Im gonna have to buy new matting or try to paint the one it came with. For the price i paid it wasnt worth it to me to have to do that. Now if you like super bright blue white matting then you might love this. Package was very well wrapped. No damage at all.

I purchased 4 of these to frame Xmas gifts, and one arrived a little damaged so I had to order another. The damage seemed to just be a product defect, and didn't look like it was related to packaging/shipping. The mat is STARK white, and clashed a little bit with one of the cardstock prints I was putting in it, which had a whitish border also. In addition, the mat has texture to it- almost like a pinstripe pattern. That didn't bother me, and was kind of a nice little detail. I ordered these in a bit of a hurry and didn't realize that they didn't have the teeth hardware to hang on a nail. They do have two loops for picture wire, so that was fine. (Maybe the description says all of this, I don't know, I was just happy to find something in the right size!). I would say these are maybe a touch pricey for what they are, but truly 8x8 is a difficult size to find.

This is a very nice frame that looks very tasteful and professional hanging on the wall, however I have a few problems with it. One of the corners is coming apart at the seam a bit. From far away on the wall you can't notice it but closer you can definitely see the lighter wood showing through. I have bought other frames in different sizes from this brand that arrived in very good quality so its annoying that this one is slightly damaged.My other problem is more with Amazon and how they packaged the frame. It arrived at my door in a giant box with absolutely no bubble wrap or packing materials to prevent the frame and the giant piece of glass from moving around. There was about an extra foot of space that the frame could bang and slide around in the box with no 'Fragile' sticker on the box either. I am really surprised the glass didn't shatter in transit.

I am particular about frames and mattes. I have not ordered one online before. I picked this one due to the simple black frame and I thought the double matte was a nice touch. I was pleasantly surprised by the pattern in the matte. I attached a closeup picture. The matte is white even though the picture shows it beige. The frame material is plastic but I rationalized that being light means my wall hangers can be less expensive. No center hanger though. Need to put a wire between the two side hanger things. not sure what they are called.

Un muy bonito marco a un bajo precio, necesitaba un marco para una foto 5x7 y compré este y la verdad es que me gustó mucho, tiene bonita apariencia y no se le ven malos ensambles. Quiza el unico detalle es que la foto tiene que ser exactamente 5x7 para no batallar con su colocación, aun cuando la mia no estaba exacta la pude colocar con un poquito de paciencia.

Venía roto, el material es muy malo muy endeble. Pésimo no lo compren

This is a very nice looking frame, however a few issues. I'm a woodworker and know enough that it's cheaper to buy a frame then to build one, but this one isn't very well constructed. The wood used is cut so thinly on the back that in 3 different places sharp splits protruded from the back. I had to take it to my workshop and glue those to prevent them from splitting further, they should have used a better material or designed it in such a way that the frame wasn't so thin the wood would split. Also, there is a build in hook only for hanging in a landscape orientation, but not portrait so I had to buy hardware and install it on the frame to be able to hang it. Not talking about standard hanging material, but rather the nail catch that is standard on every frame doesn't exist on this one. Overall a pretty low quality build all things considered, but you get what you pay for.

Very well made. Finally bought a frame without any damage on it. Nice white matting that made my photos look good on it. The only thing that I realized is it being a bit pricey. Usually when I buy items online, I don’t look at the price first only the customer ratings. Then when I receive the item that is the only time I would look at the price if the product is worth it. I love how it was nicely made but for only 3-5x7 pictures in it for the price that I paid, its too much. Still giving it 4-stars for quality.

This frame is exactly what we needed to finish our set and it arrived quickly. It cost a bit more than the previous ones we'd bought, but it was hard to find a matching one, making it worth it. Unfortunately, I'm taking away a couple of stars because both the box and the corner of the frame was damaged on arrival (as pictured).
