The Chef's Secret

Murder, intrigue and FOOD
Very much enjoyed. Had all the elements I like in one story. Missed my tube stop on more than one occasion while immersed in it.

A delicious read!
A very enjoyable second novel from Ms. King! The Chef's Secret is two stories woven together with a dash of mystery and a secret code. It's an intriguing, engaging read that keeps the reader turning the pages. The rich descriptions of feasts and foods are gorgeous, but you don't have to be a foodie to love this book. Highly recommend!

Excellent, suspenseful, and delicious read
I really enjoyed this book - a tense, skillful buildup to a page-turning end, all surrounded by incredible food, details of life in this ancient city, and interesting characters. Part mystery, part family saga - overall a wonderful book. Highly recommended for those who like their historical fiction with tons of drama - and murder!

Book great - Delivery not so much
Book WAS NOT handed directly to me. When I went to check my mail there was a pile of packages on my front porch, this book being one of the packages. To be handed to the buyer, you must ring the bell, wait for the buyer to open the door and give it to them. Being left on the porch is NOT handed to directly.

Well-researched!
King does her homework, taking the reader directly into the streets and the kitchens of Renaissance Italy. Secrets and intrigue and a dose of decadent dining make this a satisfying read.
