I installed this in my custom R/C charging case that consists of an enterprise level server power supply that outputs 30VDC and ~1,500W and a multi-chemistry charger that will output a max of 1,400W. The case has a total of three 24V cooling fans to keep the temperatures at bay. I needed to drop the PS’s voltage from 30V to 24V just to maximize the fans’ lifespans and this stepdown converter does the job just fine. I ran the charging rig hard to see what kind internal case and charger temps I’d see; the converter’s case stayed at the ambient room of 75°F even when the power supply was providing 30VDC and 28A.
