So organized
This is sturdier than I thought it would be. It’s got some functions I really like…it has green numbers on one end of the pill boxes and red on the other… no guessing as to whether you’ve got the pill boxes filled or not. When it’s filled and ready to go, you put the green side up. When it’s empty, the red side goes up. It’s got a place to put today’s medicine, so if you’re not sure what the date is, you don’t have to guess… you just pick up the pill box from the storage area and you’re good. The reminders are a plus. I forget to give Mom her meds on time sometimes, but the meds reminder function, either by voice or by alarm, takes care of that. The pill boxes hold quite a few pills… not too big and not too small. I like that it has 4 dividers in the pill boxes… morning, noon, evening and bedtime. It makes pill time easy!

Absolutely awesome
We bought this for my mom, and it has been a huge success in helping her with her meds. Highly recommend this to anyone who cares for a family member with daily med requirements.

Great organizer
This has been really nice for my grandma to organize pills and help make sure she's taking the right ones at the right time and help remind all of us to make sure she doesn't miss any. Also nice to grab the ones she needs when she travels, so that's been good too.

Works Great!
I bought this for myself as I keep forgetting to take my medication. I am 41. Even though you can use it four times a day I use it three times a day. It has an option to where you can skip a time that you’re not using your medication. I love how it talks to you to notify you about taking your medication, if it wouldn’t notify me, then I wouldn’t be able to take my medicine because again I would forget. The only downfall is, it’s very hard to open the containers. Other than that, I give it five stars.

The MedCenter System Has Held Up Nicely! (with a caveat)
I purchased The MedCenter System, for $46.99 (including free shipping), from Miles Kimball, via Amazon. I am a low-income disabled senior and several other vendors were selling the same product (via Amazon) for seven to eleven dollars more - for me, pennies count! I received the item today and I was disappointed by two aspects of the purchase. First, either the manufacturer's Quality Control Department is seriously inattentive or Miles Kimball is selling "seconds".The individual pill boxes are red on one end - green on the other; it appears that (during the manufacturing process) the paint on the green ends was not given adequate time to dry before the containers were placed into the individual compartments. As a result, there is green paint on the floor of many of the compartments and many of the green ends are seriously scuffed/scratched. Very unsightly for an item that cost almost fifty dollars and, due to it's size, will need to sit on a counter top. I realize that I am a bit on the compulsive side when it comes to such things . . but, I NEEDED the product. I gave it some thought and decided not to return it - I used a green indelible ink marker to cover as much of the the scuffed/scratched areas as possible.Additionally, each individual container is divided into four sections to hold morning/afternoon/evening/bedtime medications; the body of the containers appear to be sturdy and should be good to go for some time. I DO have a concern about the lids . . the small flap of plastic that attaches each lid to the body appears to be on the flimsy side. It'll be interesting to see how they hold up after a few months of being opened and closed three or four times each day.To sum up my *complaint* I must say that paying $46.99 for a medication dispenser represented an "investment" for me . . I don't think it is unreasonable to expect that the product be of high quality in every aspect. On the positive side, the timer/alarm instructions proved to be fairly straightforward and I was able to choose a voice reminder or a "beep" (there are two volumes available - loud and extra loud). You are able to turn the alarm off. There are pre-set alarm times that can be changed - that's a good thing! I didn't see anything in the instructions addressing whether, or not, unique alarm settings would be affected by turning the alarm(s) off - I'm hoping they will remain in memory.UPDATE: February 12, 2014I have, overall, been quite pleased with the MedCenter System. I'd expressed concern, in my initial review, about the lids holding up and THEY HAVE held up nicely. Granted, I use a light touch when I open and close them but they've not been problematic at all. I'd also mentioned the alarm aspect and my concern about turning the alarms off and finding that they'd lost the custom settings. When I'm away from home for a few days, I often turn the alarm system off to avoid irritating the cat . . up until a week or so ago, that worked very well. Because my morning alarm is set for my "wake-up" time, I use it as an "alarm clock" of sorts. Last week I was became concerned that I'd slept through the alarm - waking an hour later than my norm. Upon inspection, it was clear that a battery change was needed. The face of the alarm system had faded to nothingness and there was no verbal alarm function when I pressed the test button. I changed to fresh batteries and everything popped back in with the exception of the custom time settings. I'd tucked my alarm-setting instructions away; nevertheless, it was a simple matter to go to the MedCenter System website and the instuctions were quickly found. It took me a bit longer, this time, to reset all of the alarms (I use three of the four settings that are available) but I'm chalking that up to a "senior moment" as opposed to the instructions (they'd not changed so it HAD to be *me*!). Once done, the System has worked as it did before .. without issue! It's plastic and not an asset to room decor by any means, BUT it definitely meets the need for anyone who takes large numbers of medications/vitamins/supplements each day - as a post-Roux-en-Y bariatric surgery patient, I certainly fit that description! One final note, I withheld one star due to the fact that the alarm system has TWO "loudness" settings - LOUD and EXTRA LOUD. I understand the thought process behind that - however . . I live in an apartment complex and (although there have been no complaints from neighbors) both alarms are VERY LOUD . . the extra loud alarm can be heard behind a closed door with the shower running. I've resolved that issue with a piece of duct tape cut to fit entire speaker area on the "wall-side" and half of the speaker on the "room-side" of the device . . that easy fix tamps down the alert message volume to a tolerable level. Once that issue was resolved, it's all been good!

amazing item
Total game changer for my mother. She now rarely misses meds and when she does she can tell which meds she missed whereas it used to be pretty bad and confusing.
