Well I found the hose a good fit as a replacement, nice and easy to replace , the top part for the accessories is a bit tight but rub a bit of Vaseline on it then fine, my only gripe would be the hose is a bit thinner so it's suck it and see as to how long it will last but for a tenner it's not the end of the world.

I was wary about buying a cheap spare but its been a few months and so far so good.My only gripe is that when fitted in, the release button (red button) points toward the rear of the machine as opposed to the outside and there is no way of twisting it round. Other than that it's a decent cheap replacement for my DC50.

This is the second non-genuine replacement tube that I have bought for our Dyson DC 50 and the previous one lasted longer than the original and there were no problems with it fitting or use. With this one however, the bore of the flexible pipe was too snug a fit and made it difficult to extract and return the ridged tube. Similarly, the sealing gland where the tools fit was too small and though the tools could be pushed in, removing them required a lot of force. Finally, the flexible tube had not been glued into the bottom fixing and in the course for vacuuming the car, came out twice. It could be screwed back in but only about three quarters of a turn. Interestingly, most of the reviewers have not had these problems so it looks like this one came from a bad batch. Still worth a try as you may receive one that has been made correctly but be prepared to send it back. We received a refund with no argument.

easy to install fits perfectly

This hose is adequate for my needs. It fits to my dyson and allows me to use the hose attachment but it makes the hose attachment of my dyson difficult to remove and replace. I wouldn't buy this model again if it breaks as it makes the task of vacuuming any places which need the hose attachment much more difficult. It seems too tight for the long tube part of the hose attachment to slide down into for my model of dyson. On the plus side, it seems more robust than the original dyson hose, which developed holes in it quite soon after purchase - in the 6 months I've had this hose, it hasn't developed any holes.
