It "works" for the Thrustmaster TH8A*, material build is great for general use
If your purpose of buying this adapter is for the Thrustmaster TH8A, it will work but its longevity is in question. Reason being is that the actual threads on the TH8A shaft are M9x1.25 so it's not that this adapter is bad, but it's technically not the correct size. BUT M9 bolts/nuts are very uncommon and that's why people say to use M10. This becomes more apparent when trying to use the set nut... I wanted the adapter to grab as many threads on the shaft as possible so I placed the nut as low as I could. When trying to torque the two down the nut kept spinning as if it were stripped. So I tossed the nut aside and carefully torqued the adapter to the shaft (snug and on the tighter side), but it's at the point that if I turn it any more I will likely strip the threads.I've been looking for a true adapter for ages, and seeing the review of the other person who tried it got me curious. Worst case I strip the threads on the shaft and I have to buy a new one (it is 1mm too large after all). The threads do grab, but I worry about over torquing it while driving and the threads becoming useless. So be cautious if you use a weighted knob (~1kg) like me because it will put more stress on the shaft and adapter.Another thing I've done since taking these photos is to put a spacer inside so that the adapter doesn't bottom out on the knob. If you don't mind making the adapter a permanent addition to the knob then you can skip this step. For my specific knob, I had to use a ~40mm spacer (I used an M5 screw so that it still can slip through the adapter) so that the knob bottoms out on the shaft. So now the adapter is tight on the shaft, and the knob is tight on the adapter with a few threads to spare.Overall it seems to work. Just be aware while you're driving and try not to twist the knob any more in either direction. If you're using a regular or light weight knob, it'll probably put less stress on the threads so you'll have less to worry about. Now that you've gotten this far, I can talk about the adapter itself. The product itself has no faults. It's made of stainless steel instead of brass so it's very strong. It shouldn't snap inside your knob like the others. If your purpose is more general than my specific use case you can use this with confidence. But similar to me if you don't want to make the adapter a permanent fixture to your knob, make sure that you can find a way to leave a few threads on the knob when everything is torqued down.

Great fitment
I bought brass ones at first from another supplier but they broke during install. Super brittle. These stainless steel ones were perfect and strong. I made a custom shifter knob and these did the trick.

Worked for me.
Worked great for what I needed it for which was a custom shift knob for my Honda. Drilled the hole then tapped it and used some extra 2 part resin when screwing it in to make sure it was not going anywhere. The only things that could be improved here is the price is too high right now and threading it onto the shift was a little tough to get started, maybe not the best quality threads? Not sure, but either way it did everything I wanted.

Worked okay for me..
By itself it did not fit into my 12mm mugen shift handle but i made it work by using a plastic 12mm adapter that came with the shift knob and install this one inside of it so it could work for my corolla. The stainless steel quality is better then the plastic ones that strip fast.

Steel not aluminum
Stronger than the other ones made of aluminum. This is the one you need for shift knob.!

Well made, the threads worked smoothly 👍
The product worked perfectly...I got to use an old shiftknob and it mated to my trucks shifter.
