Never tried putting them through the dishwasher. **Q: Will this fit a newborn neck? I want to use it for spit up when burping!** A: No, would not be good for newborn neck size. Also, when holding up again you to burp, the plastic part may be cumbersome. I don’t think it would work very well. **Q: Is this product really as good as advertised?** A: Yes. Except that when toddler is strong enough , they can pull bib till velcro opens and off with the bib. More so than with bibs if other brands. **Q: I hand wash and hang to dry right after meal time and still mold has grown on these bibs. I’ve had 4 different colors, what am I doing wrong?** A: Might be your climate/indoor humidity? I’ve had 6-8 over the past 4 years and haven’t had any mold issues. I hand wash & put in the dishwasher.
