The USA needs this book and the World needs more like it.
The United States of America needs healing and this book is helpful in understanding part of depth of the often silent racial divide between blacks and whites in the US. A must read for those coming to minister to the USA form outside the USA.

Learning to cross the divide
Wonderful read for those that want to know what either the black or white race thinks about the other and about racism. I am a member of a multi-racial church. This book has helped me to understand a little better what I had before perceived as a "chip on the shoulder" of some of our black members. I hope it will help me to be more understanding and work harder on my relationships with those members.

Groundbreaking
Pastor David Anderson and author Brent Zuercher have penned a groundbreaking and unique book. What happens when two friends of different races explore racism and faith? "Letters across the Divide" happens. For a firsthand account of what multicultural relationships could look like, read this book.Reviewer: Bob Kellemen, Ph.D., is the author of Beyond the Suffering: Embracing the Legacy of African American Soul Care and Spiritual Direction , Spiritual Friends: A Methodology of Soul Care And Spiritual Direction , and Soul Physicians: A Theology of Soul Care and Spiritual Direction.

A very creative dialogue on racism.
This is the most helpful book I've read on a subject most of us are afraid to dialogue about. I am a pastor of a multi-cultural church and we are using this book to help facilitate our own dialogue. It get's a the core problem of racism, "sin" and it gives some very helpful steps toward "reconciliation".

Racial insights
This book was recommended to me for work on understanding how people from different backgrounds view life in the United States. It is a great attempt to educate one another on how our prejudices are formed and how to begin to change them.

Great for building Understanding
Have only glanced through the book for now, but believe it to be a great read, and a good book for people of all religions to realize that religion is about understanding and helping one another instead of concentrating on everything that is different.
