## Description

The Squeeeeek No More Contractor Pack is designed for heavy use in stopping squeaks in carpeted, hardwood, and linoleum floors. It includes 500 screws, a heavy duty tripod zinc fixture for carpeted floors, a fixture for hardwood and linoleum floors, 2 driver bits, 7 joist finding screws, and complete instructions. *** We have updated our kit with a redesigned screw. At the tip the screw starts with 8 threads per inch. One inch from the tip it then switches to 9 threads per inch, continuing to the score. The changing pitch pulls the flooring down tight to the joist as it moves through the floor board into the joist. The Squeeeeek No More kit is designed to stop squeaks in carpeted floors from above the floor by going through the carpet. Find the joist using the tooling provided in the kit. Then place the tripod fixture over the joist and drive the scored screw through the fixture as far as the fixture will allow. Snap the head of the screw off. The screw snaps off at the score leaving the screw thread to secure the flooring to the joist stopping the squeak. Because the screw snapped at the score that was set below the floor, there is nothing to feel. Because the screw safely passes through carpet there is nothing to see. The smaller fixture is used for stopping squeaks in hardwood and linoleum floors. In hardwood floors, the key is to drill a pilot hole so the wood does not split. Once you drill a pilot hole, drive the screw through the fixture as far as it will allow. The screw will pull the flooring together tight then snap 1/4 inch below the flooring. Then, simply fill the hole with wood filler. In linoleum floors use an electric stud sensor to find the joist so the screw can go into the joist. Once you find the joist, drive the screw through the fixture as far as you can go. The screw will pull the flooring together tight then snap 1/4 inch below the flooring. The linoleum will expand back over the hole making it very hard to detect.

Review: Fix that squeaking floor!!! - I have to admit that a lot of questionable things were done when my house was built, and that I didn't know enough to demand different. Being a multi-story split level house, I have lots of floors that aren't on a slab. When they put down the sub-flooring, I could tell that it was good quality, but I didn't know to demand that the floors would be glued and screwed to the joists. They nailed the floor. So now, 11 years later, I have squeaky floors in two high traffic areas, the kitchen and the walkway from the living/dining room into the kitchen. It started about 5 years ago and has just gotten to the point that I've been ready to tear out the ceiling on the rec-room below and screw in angle brackets that pull the floor down and secure it so it cannot move and squeak. On a whim, I did an internet search and a product showed up called "Squeeeeek No More." I watched some videos of this product and read the reviews. I figured it had to be a good product because there were few negative reviews; mostly 4s and 5s. So I ordered the contractor pack through desertcart to have a more robust carpet fixture (aluminum) and more fasteners and joist locators. The whole thing was less than $50. My kit arrived last week and today I decided to give it a try. I have a very good stud finder and had no trouble finding all the joists. I laid out my whole kitchen floor every 6" on the joists I could get to. Of course, the joists under the cabinets aren't squeaking. I also measured every 16" for the carpeted walkway joists and installed the fasteners right through berber carpet. The nice thing about this kit is it works on carpet, hardwood, or vinyl. If you have tile, you'll need another solution, but you might drill through the grout lines and be able to secure the floor under tile if that's a problem. I'm one happy camper. Every single squeak I had is gone. What a great job this product does. I don't know who is happier, me or my wife. O'Berry Enterprises has a winner product here. If you need to fix squeaks, give it a try.
Review: 100% worth it! - The floors in my house were extremely squeaky. I found a video on Youtube where someone was using this kit to secure the boards to the floor in order to eliminate squeaks. I was skeptical at first, but after I bought a kit and tried it, I am a believer! And I used it on carpeted floors. Can't even tell where I put the screws. They are completely hidden under the carpet. It is super easy to use, too. I recommend getting a good deep scan stud finder so that you can find the beams under the floor easier, and also to avoid hitting any electrical wires, etc. But other than finding where it's safe to drill the screws into, this is absolutely a great product. I will definitely be buying these again if I run out and need to fix a squeak again. Hell I might even buy more just to make sure I have some in the future if this item is no longer available.

I have to admit that a lot of questionable things were done when my house was built, and that I didn't know enough to demand different. Being a multi-story split level house, I have lots of floors that aren't on a slab. When they put down the sub-flooring, I could tell that it was good quality, but I didn't know to demand that the floors would be glued and screwed to the joists. They nailed the floor. excellent, working great on oak hardwood floors of our 1930 home, even when not hitting a floor joist. simple, clear instructions. i wish the plastic jig was of a stronger/harder material: after 75 screws, some screws have lodged into the plastic and misshapen it. i hope it lasts. otherwise very pleased with the results.
