Kinetic by Kurt Rear Skewer for Trainer

Great fit, easy to install, workes great. Thought I was gonna need a complicated solution to use my indoor trainer, but this axle was an exact replacement. I had it installed and my bike fixed in the stationary trainer in 5 mins and it'll support outdoor rides with no mods.

I bought this to go with a bike trainer as the one on my road bike didn’t fit my actual trainer. It works really well! I would buy it again.

I have a Kinetic trainer that I have been using with my road bike. My wife wanted to use the trainer with her smaller bike so I purchased a second skewer. The use of the Kinetic skewer makes it MUCH easier and quicker to swap bikes out. This skewer is perfectly shaped to work with the trainer. Sure - I could just leave my wife's plastic-tipped skewer on her bike and manhandle it into the trainer, but why bother. For a few bucks I have a superior-quality skewer that is suitable for the road AND the trainer.Installation takes seconds. You will not have to remove your chain, mess around with gears, etc. You simply remove the left side nut from the rear skewer, slide the skewer off from the right side, push the new one through the same hole, and tighten the new cap. That's it. No muss, no fuss.I have taken my bike out on the street a couple of times since I installed the Kinetic skewer and can promise you it works just as well as the standard model that came with my bike.

This item was received in a timely manner, and as described. I bought a used Kinetic Trainer from an individual and the skewer axle was missing. This replacement fit, and got my indoor training going. I didn't rate it 5 stars because at this point I can't vouch for its durability. But, so far - so good.

I have a Kinetic trainer and this fits in it perfectly. No issues and no problems. It did pop off though while I was riding... I fell and the rear wheel became dislodged. I don't know if it was because I just didn't put enough tension on it or what. But it hasn't done it again since. We'll see.

I was given a bike trainer but it was missing this piece. It likely accidentally stayed on the other person's bike. Anyway, it was easy to install watching a YouTube video on how to set up the bike trainer. It has been reliable so far. I don't think about it at all which means it is doing its job.

As it turns out I did not need to order this one because the Kurt Kinetic Trainer that I bought along side it came with a skewer. However, all is not loss. Because I hope to be in a situation with a beautiful girlfriend that she and I will exercise with one another using two Trainers and two bikes...that will then necessitate that use of two skewers. I would have to, of course, get the beautiful girlfriend and then upgrade my living space to accommodate 2 trainers and my other workout equip...perhaps in a spare room/office. So I will keep this one for that day, God/Eli/Allah-Willing.

Last winter, I had used the quick release adapter bit on my Kurt Kinetic. The one with the notch cut out. But my roommate and I both used the trainer; so we had to constantly remove each other's bikes and puts ours on. Dealing with trying to align the notch was just another hurdle for a boring inside training session. This year, my roommate insisted on using the non-notched piece; so, I got an extra skewer so I didn't have to switch out our skewers each time. Switching out the bikes is much easier now.

the skewer I received did not match the specifications on the website. I needed a longer skewer and the website says the skewer is 9 inches long. Product Dimensions 24.1 x 1.3 x 1.3 cm ; 99.8 g. the received skewer was only 18.5 cm long. I left a comment for seller 3 times but no response. I had hoped they would send me a replacement skewer that was the advertised length but I got no response. Disappointed.
