Review: Exceeds expectations - This might be the best mirror I have ever owned. Literally - the best. Exceeds expectations. Completely clear up close or far away. I don’t know how they made this, but I would recommend it to anyone looking for the best makeup mirror, ever. Mine is placed on my desk-vanity in front of a window, so that the light I’m using is completely natural. This mirror is the perfect size for this set up. It’s like the iPhone of vanity mirrors in terms of quality. Heavy base, beautiful finish. Love it!!

It's sturdy, thick glass with a lovely bevel. The base is heavy and should make it very stable. So far no problems with the stand, I understand that might be an issue down the road. If it were to come off, I don't see any reason a bit of glue wouldn't fix it - come on people, things can be repaired, not just trashed and put in the landfill for the first little issue. The little tilt handle is cute and effective, though this mirror is heavy enough that I will use 2 hands to manipulate it for safely, and I'll just have to live with a fingerprint or two. What I had really hoped for is that it would rotate horizontally so that it was wider than it was tall. It doesn't, but that isn't the mirrors fault.

A: The base is 5 1/4" x 5 1/4" x 3/4" high. From bottom of base to top of the mirror it measures 13 1/2" high

**Q: Does this mirror magnify**
A: Our rectangular mirror is not magnified.

**Q: What does the back of this mirror look like?**
A: It is black like most mirrors. The silver stand proceeds to the middle of the back surface and attaches with circular silver disc. I would not be worried about the back being seen. It is artful design! Tried to post picture but unable.

**Q: Can the stand be removed?**
A: Hi. The stand is permanently attached to the mirror but you can unscrew the stand from the base.

This stand alone mirror exceeded my expectations. Excellent size, has adjustable chrome extend at bottom of mirror to adjust without touching the glass. Very pretty if want to leave on vanity for convenience. Double boxed, very happy with this purchase.
