The base is 5 1/4" x 5 1/4" x 3/4" high. From bottom of base to top of the mirror it measures 13 1/2" high

Does this mirror magnify

Our rectangular mirror is not magnified.

What does the back of this mirror look like?

It is black like most mirrors. The silver stand proceeds to the middle of the back surface and attaches with circular silver disc. I would not be worried about the back being seen. It is artful design! Tried to post picture but unable.

Can the stand be removed?

Hi. The stand is permanently attached to the mirror but you can unscrew the stand from the base.
