Vidal Sassoon Luxe Hair Color, London Lilac (5VR), 2 pack

Love the color for 28 years. But the price has gone so high I may have to change. I am on a fixed income.

I wanted to dye my hair purple but needed to keep it professional. This color definitely fits the bill. It came out a little more red than I wanted but it looks really nice. I got lots of compliments. The ends of my hair were lighter, sort of ombre, so the dye showed more brightly at the ends. I dyed my hair 3 1/2 weeks ago and it has faded quite a bit. This came with two boxes so I am planning to do it again later this week. Overall really liked it but don't expect it to last long.

First off the seller got this product to me in just two days! Now on to the dye. I have used this brand in the colors Runway Red and Merlot and both were great reds. I have been dying my hair since I was 14 nd this is the best box hair dye I have ever come across. After being a natural gingerish girl and many, many years as a bottle red head as I wanted to bump up the color, I knew it was time for a change. I chose to go with London Lilac. I was nervous and had asked some questions and everyone on here was very helpful! Because of the kind and helpful responses I received I bought the color and went for it! It was a hit! I love it. Now, it is a sneaky color, in certain lights it does look black or dark brown but, in sunlight the color is a deep, dark lovely purple. I would describe the color as an aubergine or very dark grape soda color! I just dyed it over my dyed red and it took very easily. This is not a messy dye at all but, if you choose to rinse in the shower be ready to wash out that shower or tub pretty hard core. If you want a change that is a little undercover at first and then Bam! This color is for you! I say go for it.

I've been dying my hair for years, but this was my first purple. Good amount of dye, color lasts, and application is easy and even. The only down side is that the color will bleed off wet hair far longer than with normal dyes. So be careful with pillows and the like.

I am totally obsessed with this color! 💜 It's delivered so fast and I leave it in for about an hr. It looks almost black, but the natural blonde highlights in my light brown hair really gives it a deep purple radiance. Last dye was about 2 months ago, so the color obviously starts to fade. Waiting that long makes the color look more of a Burgandy/coppery red. But the color does stay deep purple for a good while. It also smells great after rinsing and the conditioner is wonderful. I really can't seem to switch to any othrr color because I absolutely love it! I would absolutely recommend this color to everyone! 💜 Sorry about the poor lighting. My hair was Loreal intense red copper when I used london lilac. It looks black in the mirror but the pictures under a 100 watt light bulb look brownish/purple. I also lost a bunch of hair when I rinsed it out! I hope it lightens up because I wasn't expecting it to be so dark. It didn't smell too bad but I don't think I'd use it again because of the hair loss and the color coming out too dark.I added a before pic and 2 afters, also the clumps of hair I lost.

I was very impressed with the quickness of delivery:)As far as the product goes..!100% love it! I really wanted a dark almost black purple more appropriate for work and such things a purple that you could only see in the sun or light. kind of like a tinted purple.. But I fell in love with this color of purple. Everyone compliments me on it and says it suits me:)I wasn't too pleased with the way the sender packed a crushed box,open as well. I'm going to assume that it came from a real salon because there were little hairs all over the stick seal of the envelope. gross! I don't know what happened there. But I am not mad. I will assume that it was an accident or something! All that really mattered was the product!

I loved this color on my hair. It was easy to apply and it wasn't damaging. My only complaint was that it fades kind of fast. I think any purple dye will though. If you have long hair you will want to use two boxes.
