These socks are thick and comfy. The interior is especially soft, as soft as some slipper socks I have but they look just like normal socks on the outside. I never purchased non-binding socks before and I was pleased to find that they stay up just fine despite not having super tight elastic around the ankles. I went for non-binding just to ensure comfort; I don't have a medical reason or real need for them so I'm not too sure how they hold up in that respect. They do leave a small imprint on my small ankles after wearing them for awhile but less so than other socks of similar height and make. They don't feel constricting at all to me.The pattern varies a bit between them which doesn't personally bother me and I'd say the color is pretty true to the picture. There's no extra arch support but I wasn't expecting that and they're thick enough on their own that they provide a decent cushion at the bottom. I can wear them with any shoes just fine.I wear a size 7 in women's shoes and they fit me perfectly. They're snug enough that they aren't loose anywhere but they are stretchy and the upper part has a lot of give so I can see them being very comfortable on large-sized feet as well. The toe area is roomy without being too large. I could see them being a little big if you have very small feet, like several sizes below mine, but I have no way of testing that.I love bamboo socks in general and tried these because I wanted a heartier pair for colder weather. These are perfectly suited for my needs in that regard. They keep my feet warm but the material is also very breathable. I'm also pleased these can go in the dryer unlike other bamboo socks I have which are hang dry only. I've laundered them several times and they've held up perfectly so far. For the price I paid, I think these are a great value given that it's a pack of three.

Update: I just bought more and my husband, who has diabetes and also has been looking for warm non-binding socks, also bought some. They have soup to washing and drying well. Highly recommend these socks!! Original review follows: Last year I learned that I need to wear compression garments for swelling caused by lymphedema. I find them comfortable and haven't minded wearing them, but they aren't warm. I wanted a warm sock to wear over the compression socks/stockings. Someone recommended these. They were not expensive so I took a chance. These socks are exactly what I needed - soft, not binding at all around my ankle/leg, and thick and warm. I bought a pack of 3 pairs. I'm sure I'll buy more.

I was looking for socks that are not binding at the top of the sock and these are it. It also amazes me that i can feel no seam in the toe section. That is miraculous. While i wish they came in multiple colors, i do love the deep rich purple. It is dark and a neutral. If they don't come in more pretty colors, i may have to just standardize on purple socks for everything. It is hard for me to wear other socks now that i love the comfort of these.

I absolutely LOVE the feeling of putting and having these socks on. I do not have diabetes, but have very bad circulation in my legs and always looking for socks that stay up without "chocking" my legs. These I left on all night and barely get a mark. First time I try "bamboo" and just love the feel and breathability. My only comment is these are actually a bit big for me, I need to "settle" the heel on my foot so it doesn't ride up, but I have to say, so far they have NOT ridden up while I wear them. I just wish I got the smaller size (but now I see it doesn't look like they make that). I "hover" between 8, 8-1/2, occasionally 9, but mostly below 9, so since the product description says it fits women's shoe size:5.5-10... I thought they would fit a bit better, but honestly, I can still wear these just fine... they really are just a "tad" too big. I didn't feel like returning them cause there were only 3 pairs in the pack and I really needed some clean socks (LOL). Also, I think these slightly bigger ones make perfect night socks too. I just went back to see the product and it doesn't look like they make a smaller size. I will search more and ask in the Q&A. So, if you wear anything up to 8, they will feel too big.
