Ten super stars!!!!!!!!!!
I would like to give this bowl more than 5 full stars!!!!!! I have a senior Persian with severe IBD who is the pickiest eater with a physical eating disability! I have bought him more elevated bowls than I can count and tried propping stainless steel saucers inside the elevated bowls to make it easier for him to eat. Inevitably three-quarters of what he eats fall outside the back of the bowls or out of his mouth onto the sides. This is the first bowl he is able to eat his dried food without me picking up the spillover to the back, left and right! I am beyond ecstatic!!!!!!!!!! I bought 2 to start with and I just bought 7 more of these bowls! My precious baby hangs out in different room and eats in different places. Worth every penny!!!!!!!!

Neat concept but kind of a mixed bag.
Just recently received this feeding bowl so can't comment on long term durability of the acrylic base. That aside, this is a cool concept. I am assuming this is for wet food only, I can't see it working well with dry kibble, although, I haven't tried it. First off, this is a fairly shallow, Stainless Steel, curved type bowl with no sharp corners for the cat to pack the food into. That's a plus, right off the bat. This bowl type suits flat faced cats and eases whisker stress (if your cat has an issue with that). On top of that, the bowl sits on an angle in the base so when the cat "chases" food , in theory, he'll be "chasing" it toward the high side of the bowl, on an upward angle. This should result in making eating a bit neater by allowing less food to be pushed over the edge of the bowl and onto the floor. Gravity and physics at work I suppose. There is one problem with this theory. It assumes that the cat is going to eat from the low point and "chase" the food toward the high point of the bowl. My cat doesn't necessarily approach the dish that way. Sometimes he does and it works pretty well. Other times he approaches the food from more of a side angle which negates the concept of his pushing the food up toward the high side. Basically, he just pushes it over toward the opposite low side. So, for my cat, it's a mixed bag. All depending on what type of angle he takes to the bowl. A related issue is that it's a little more time consuming to clean because there is a lip around the acrylic base that the SS bowl sits into. Some small food pieces that fall over the edge can end up down in that bowl recess so during cleaning you may have to make sure that no food is down inside that lip or falls down into the base when you remove the SS bowl. In other words, if your cat is a messy eater and tends to approach the bowl from any old angle, this may not be a great solution. But again, it is a cool concept and it will probably help with most cats, especially those with flat faces and/or whisker stress. I'm having more consistent luck with the ceramic pedestal type feeders that also have shallow bowls with no sharp angles. But I still would recommend giving this FelliP Oblik a try if you have a messy eater. It's kind of an expensive experiment but it seems to work well for the majority of users according to the reviews. I'm only knocking off one star because it's literally hit or miss with my cat.

Best bowl for short nosed dogs! Easy to eat from and keeps the face cleaner.
I've been using these bowls for my Brussels Griffons for 6 years. They were recommended for short snouted dogs and I think they're the best. They are angled and a little shallow so my dogs can get their noses in to eat. They also keep most of the beard out of the bowl so their faces stay pretty clean. Being raised a little is good for their backs and necks too. The metal part comes off for cleaning. The first set I bought 6 years ago are still in excellent condition. I only bought a new one because I wanted a color change.

Other than that it was fine.
I ordered it in ruby pink and received a green one. Other than that it was fine.

Loving them
I initially gave it 4 stars because it didn't appear that there are 'refill' stainless bowls available. My girls go nuts when I have to stop meal prep to soak and wash the dishes. In the past, I always had an extra set of dishes for them to eat from while I washed the others. I've written Felli-Pet week(s) ago with no response. However, I contacted the company and they came through eventually, sending me a couple of refill bowls at a reasonable price. Add another star!Beyond that, though, the girls like it. (A Siamese kitten and an 18 year old). They appear easy for them to eat out of and there is no more waste from their pushing food around and not being able to get to it.

Thought it was a great idea......
Not very practical, By the time you put water in, it spills out all over! Ordered for my white Persian beauty to keep his beard clean but it was more trouble than it was worth. Disappointed!

Perfect for prissies, not for piggies
I bought this for my extreme-face Persian cat. Because his face is so flat, he needs a wide bowl to eat from. This bowl is designed especially for flat-faced cat breeds, looks sleek and modern, and is made of a safe and hygienic material. Overall, it was exactly what I was looking for.The problem is that my cat eats like a little piggy. He shoves his face in the bowl when he eats; with this bowl, the kibble would scatter around everywhere and require constant clean-up.The solution to this problem was to take the shallow metal bowl out (store it somewhere, you don't need it), flip the plastic angled bottom part around so that it was upside down, and put a large, flat, wide-mouthed ceramic bowl on top of it that I then filled with a scoop of food. No, it is not elegant or especially attractive--but it does keep the spilled kibble to a minimum.Overall, if your cat has the table-manners of a fine Southern lady and the trendsetting soul of a New York fashionista, then this is the bowl for them. If your animal eats like--well--an *animal* (and not a particularly dainty one, at that), then this bowl is just a massive waste of money.
