Very impressive! But the app to control it is hot garbage.
It's absolutely AMAZING; as a mop. As a vacuum, the tiny collection chamber fills up FAST, and I've been spoiled by my Roomba i7, so I really can't recommend this product for it's vacuuming abilities at all, when there are FAR better, and cheaper, options. It's quite quiet, but where it really shines (pun intended) is as a mop. I work outside, and tend to track in a lot of red Georgia clay, the bane to every glorified swiffer-style robotic "mop". I have a Braava m6, and I use it AFTER the Narwal, mainly because I feel like I wasted my money on the Braava now that I have the Narwal, and just want to give it some sort of purpose in life. It really does scrub and cleans better than any robotic mop I've ever owned, including the discontinued iRobot "Scooba". It gets edges very well, but of course can't quite manage corners, but it's a small price to pay for a robot that ACTUALLY mops, getting messes that other robots just smear across the floor, and all you have to do is change out the water tanks and occasionally clean out the little tray it uses to clean itself! It even hops thresholds that frighten my poor Braava too much to cross. I can't recommend this robot enough. The app, though... The app is garbage, and will sometimes lose connection with the robot for no reason, and no amount of router fiddling, Narwal resetting, or app reinstalling will solve it. Just set the phone down, try again in 12 hours, and it will be connected again. When it does work, it allows you to customize zones, which means I can tell it to clean everything normally, but give the area in front of the door an extra scrubbing to deal with any mud I might have tracked in. The saving grace though, is that you don't NEED the app, it's more of an added layer of convenience. You can get the robot working away just fine using the buttons on the home station, and a few well placed magnetic strips. That's the only other "ding" I have against the Narwal, is there is no "lighthouse" or invisible barrier device that you can use. The only way to create "no go zones" without the app, is having to lay magnetic strips across your floor. I personally don't even notice them, but it's still a pretty inelegant solution. I will note that for the past 2 weeks, the app has been functioning just fine, so my bad experience may have been a glitch in the app that has since been fixed. Overall, it's really not a great vacuum, but it's far and away a GREAT mop, and for that, I can't recommend this enough, despite my quibbles.

Not ready for the standard robot cleaning expectations
After having the product less than a week, I can say with certainly unfortunately that this product is not worth the price point and overall not ready for the market and expectations of the robot cleaning market. It is essentially the cleaning equivalent of having a robot drag a wet rag on your floors or a light lazy pass with a Swiffer - with the added and only convenience being that it rinses itself so you don't have to fuss with that. There is some impressive mapping capabilities in the robot but unfortunately those capabilities can only really be accessed with the app which is embarrassingly bad. I don't even mind the clear translation/proofing errors but the app is completely unusable as other reviewers mentioned with it constantly being "Offline". You can reset the network a hundred times, move the unit right next to your modem, etc but you're still going to get hit with Offline due to the failures within the app itself an annoying amount of times. For a thousand dollar product, the app's constant failures rendering the device completely useless is unacceptable. I also choose not to use it in vacuum mode (unless required by mapping) because the dustbin is quite small and its suction is not super impressive. For comparison beside its vacuuming partner, the self cleaning Roomba, the Narwhal does move around furniture and map a room with a lot more accuracy and efficiency so I was really hopeful this would be a winner. Unfortunately, until the app can be made reliably functional, it seems to be nothing but a large investment in a product that still has a LONG way to go. Hopefully updates will continue to be made to the app so the device has more use in my home. For the time being, it's just keeping the hard working Roomba company. Update: After a month, I have had to downgrade from 2 stars to 1. Originally my thought was that when it works it's better than nothing and as such should be worthy of at least 2 stars, especially given the potential. However, for this price point it's completely unacceptable to have the entire robot's functionality crippled by such a weak app that can't even stay connected to the internet. I've spent more time in the last month trying to fix their connectivity issue to try to get this robot to work the way it's meant to than I spent mopping in the last year. I should've listened to the other reviews and saved the box so I could return it but now I just have to hope they'll invest in fixing this app because I'm sick of troubleshooting what should've been addressed before the product launched. All that being said, if this app can get sorted, the robot itself is pretty impressive and this may be a 4 or 5 star product. Should the app improve, I'll update my review accordingly.

Our coolest new robot! Love our Wall-E!
Note- the scanning function on the app to add the robot to the app does not appear to work and the product comes with a preface warning letting the consumer know the engineers are working on this. Ideal would be to just fix the issue versus continue to market it, but other than that initial frustration, we love our robot! Other side note, I could not get the app to allow the robot to connect to our wi-fi until my husband updated our router, so if you're having issues, try updating your router. If you didn't notice when buying, the robot will not connect to 5G so you may have to switch a setting on your router. We do have 5G and did not switch any settings, just updated our router and it worked for my husband's phone. Other than those 2 pieces, the robot functions awesomely! We have 2 dogs and 2 small children so our floors are constantly filled with hair or crumbs or both. I was so sick of swiffering our floors 10 times a day. We have all hardwood floors on our main floor and in all bedrooms which are beautiful, but they show everything on them so we are obsessed with keeping them clean with kids crawling on them. We've had a both an Iroomba and a Neato vacuum in the past, both which worked well, until they didn't anymore. After letting those vacuum, we still had dried mud pawprints on the floor. We also ran into issues with the spinning brushes getting tangled in hair or string. With this robot, we've used the pads for the mopping function, and do a quick sweep before it goes, and it makes the floors look incredible. I haven't used the solution yet as it doesn't come with it, and I am happy with just plain water and a few drops of lemon essential oil on the floor that it spreads out. My floors look and smell wonderful, you can schedule it to go when you want, and you don't have to mess with any nasty dirty mops! It's super quiet, looks really cool in our white kitchen, and our dogs barely even notice it. I was very nervous to spend this much money on yet another robot that will eventually stop working, but so far I'm really happy with our purchase! We had a new cleaning crew come to our house last week and while they did a great job, my husband's one complaint is the floors were still dirty in spots, so I pulled the trigger on this purchase and am so happy I did! I'll come back and update after we have it for longer but hopefully it continues to lessen my workload! :)

DOES A GREAT JOB
I love my Narwal. I now have clean floors every day. I don't have area rugs of any kind. I have tile floors throughout my entire 1800 square foot home. I run the vacuum late in the day and the mopping at night when I go to bed. My only complaint is that if I don't vacuum for two or three days, I may be prompted to empty the bin 2 or 3 times because the bin is a little small. Let me mention that I have dogs a collie (74 lb lassie dog) and a another 30 lb dog. Both shed quite a bit. They also go in and out to the yard all day long and drag in dirt and leaves all day long as well. Both the vacuuming and especially the mopping function are very quiet. I don't like the cleaning sheets Narwal sells to put in the water.. they leave the floors streaky. I hope they come out qith a new product although I use only water in the tank and the Narwal does a fantastic job. You cannot however, schedule your mopping or vacuuming to go on at a particular time. However, you can put either function on via the app. Therefore if you've forgotten to put the vacuum or mop on before you left the house, you can still put it on from wherever you are by using the app. The app was very easy to install and mapping was accomplished very quickly. To mop or vacuum only the areas you select you go into the "Quick" settings and select the rooms you would like done. O have not had an occasion to use the magnetic strips so cannot report on those. GREAT PRODUCT. Love It. I can only hope it will last for many years as it's quite expensive.

I'm glad I purchased this Robot that I named Scrubbie
Not perfect, but would I buy it again? Yes I would!! Some of the negatives are software related and I'm hoping for updates to make it even better. Keep in mind this is a Mop that also Vacuums, not a Vacuum that also Mops. Vacuum is great for hard surfaces, but not so good on carpets, as it has no brush. I haven't had the need to supplement vacuuming on hard surfaces and I find it perfect for homes with a lot of them. Notes about my usage case: -Mainly hardwood -No pets -No kids -I make sure there are no charging cables or clothes on the floor -Some areas have very long pile carpets that bots like Roborock get stuck on. The T10 handles long pile carpets with ease, hasn't been stuck once. Note on Long Pile Carpets: cleaning long pile carpets can be a challenge without the suction provided from a motor run by a 120v outlet, so I find effectiveness is limited on the bots I have tested. But it does suck up surface dust/dirt and makes the carpet have that "just cleaned" look. I do find some sand in the dust bin after cleaning long pile carpets, so it's getting some of it. I feel comfortable having the T10 do multiple passes, once a day, and then deep cleaning manually once a month. It feels cleaner this way than when I manually vacuumed every two weeks. The Good: -Good navigation, rarely gets stuck -Vac works great on hard floors, even without a brush (most of my main level is hardwood) -Mopping works great on non-caked on spots. Perfect for regular maintenance. (When I mop I go through and hit the really bad spots/spills with a towel and a spray bottle, prior to sending the bot out. Usually only takes 2 minutes) -Great Battery Life, handles my 600'sqft main level with ease, can make 3 passes. (3/4 hardwood) Can go further when mopping, as that uses less power than the vac. -Fast Recharge, charges several times faster than other bots I have tried, this is actually a really big plus for larger homes -Handles long pile carpets very well -Doesn't get stuck under my bed like others that I have tried The Bad -The app needs more work. Specifically the room division. It's not a deal breaker, as it works well enough, but I do wish I could define my rooms better as my floor layout is a bit weird. If you have regular rooms with doorways, then you shouldn't have an issue, but I have large open spaces with partial walls in places. This makes it difficult to set the room boundaries. -No-go zones in app need to be more reliable and detailed -Doesn't allow me to have more than one map/level in the app. How am I supposed to use it in my basement, without having to redo the whole mapping? -Dust bin could be bigger. Fine for my home, with no pets, but probably needs frequent attention if you have a lot of fur -Mop heads don't raise, so can't go over carpet without getting it wet. If you have a bathroom, separated by a bedroom with carpet, you will get your carpet wet. Then, going back to the base, it will drag a dirty/wet mop over your carpet. Kind of makes it useless for those rooms. Only affects one of my rooms, but I don't like that. Remember! it's a mop first, not a vacuum I'll update this as time goes on, have only had a week with Scrubbie, but I like my new chore partner. UPDATE: I still love this guy, using it every 1-2 days. Love how fast it charges, it can do a lot of work.

Expensive but worth it
I like to use this during the week to keep my place maintained. It works good enough and helps. It sweeps decently and gets a lot of my dogs fur off the floor, but definitely think it excels as a mop! It really leaves our floor looking good and smelling clean. I’d recommend cleaning the pads between uses. I usually run it on the sweep setting 2-3 times to get the best result. For mopping, the first time I run it with just hot water. Then run it with Pine-Sol or Fabuloso and hot water 2-3 times. It’s not very noisy but does make noises. It runs totally on its own once you map out your space. You can map out your floor living space, set up “no-go” zones, and run it from the app. It connects to your wifi and then to your phone, so you can do a few things through the app, including name your Narwal. I named mine “La Chacha” (the maid). I don’t use it for our carpets, only hard floors. I’ve been using it since June 2021 and I use pinesol and hot water for the mop cycle. Never used the recommended sheets, they didn’t come in the box, so 🤷🏽♂️*shrugs* ¡Me gusta!

App downfall and Narwal does not stand behind their product
Updated on May 9, 2023. Run away, do not buy a Narwal product. I purchased a t10 one year ago in March, it started giving me problems and customer service just skated the issue. I change the dust bin every time it vacuums. Now it shuts down giving me a motor error. $1200 down the tube. Buy Shark they work great. Shark is very dependable and clean very well. Shark also empties it own dust bin, no dust bags either. Shark has a great app, not Narwal. I have had nothing but problems, at first the app and now I am getting a motor error. Buy Shark. Do not buy the Narwal products because they do not stand behind them, Sharks are very dependable, clean well and you can buy 5 Shark vacuums for one Narwal. I hope Shark does not see this and raise their prices. That’s right zero stars, too expensive and does not last. Do not buy these, the frustration is not worth it. $1200 waisted. Do not buy, it’s not worth it. Run away fast. Updated May 14, 2023, If you do not take my word for it, look at all of the other poor reviews. Narwal customer service is nice but not helpful at all. I started having problems with the robot within having it for about two months. I thought it was just me, I did not read the reviews. Now, after reading many reviews, the problems are very common. At six months or so, the robot disconnected from our Wi-Fi and stopped working. Then would stop during a session and would not reconnect. I have to include to connect to Wi-Fi is very difficult. Now, sometimes the robot works great, then shuts down showing a motor error, then dust bin full, or it just disconnects from Wi-Fi. Again, I thought it was just me, until I read the reviews. Take our word for it run away for your own good, my shark robot is amazing. I have no personal interest in Shark, just speaking the truth. Sorry Narwal but the truth hurts. Updated July 2, 2023, I finally got Narwal to fix the robot. I sent it in and they fixed it for free. When they sent it back they did not have the vacuum module, it took about a week and half to get Narwal to send back the vacuum module. My intention was to delete my bad review once I got my robot backed. However, to get the robot and base station to connect to my Wi-Fi then to program vacuum times, I reconsidered removing my post. Just to connect using the app is extremely frustrating because it is far from user friendly. Yep buy Shark, if this robot worked all of the time I would buy another one but to deal with their customer service and the app, no way.

Best vacuum/mopping machine so far
I mostly use the mopping functionality, which is where this machine stands out. The station cleans and dries the mopping heads automatically and recalls the machine to be cleaned after mopping for a certain distance. All I need to do is to change the water bin once it's filled out. The first time, it runs the whole place to create a map of my apartment. Then it will just vacuum/mop the whole apartment if you schedule a clean or just kick off one. The app lets you split the map into different rooms and you can schedule only certain rooms to be cleaned. You can set virtual boundaries where you don't want the machine to go. The features come in handy for me and make the cleaning much easier than using my roomba 985. The app is buggy sometimes during map creation, but eventually works out. The route planning is also much more intelligent compared to my old roomba, and for some reason, I feel it less likely to get stuck on the wires and bumps. The machine is very quiet during mopping and a bit louder during vacuuming, which is still better than my roomba. The battery seems to be good, it can keep running for hours without any long wait in the station, but I didn't really measure it.

Doesn't work - now it does.
The base station turns on but the robot doesn't. The writing is in Chinese on the base station, there doesn't appear to be any way to change it to English. Their "help" is based in the US so with time zone differences we can't get any prompt replies. When the USA help centre pointed me in the right direction the Australian help centre couldn't be more helpful. They identified a dud battery and replaced it immediately. The new battery works, the base station is in English and the robot works a treat. Customer service at its best.

Didn't power up
after unpacking and reading instruction, I pressed power button for 2 seconds but nothing happened. Put the robot in his charging station, display indicate symbol of a charged batteries but then red circle appeared with chinese or asian characters. then display turned black. EDIT** I let the robot in is station for few hours and everything went back to normal, it seem to charge and the red circle is gone. Hopefully everything will work well Can't test mop function cause no detergent sheets came with the whole package 2nd EDIT** Got a quick respond from them even without doing the effort my self to initiate the contact. I will get a set of detergent sheets free of charge from them for all the trouble. Great company and very good product.

Cannot connect to WIFI and you have to pay the postage yourself if you want to return!
My worst shopping experience from Amazon. I would give zero if I can. I bought a T10 at the price of $999. The robot still cannot be connected to WIFI after I tried a million times. Always connection failed. I tried as the introduction book suggested and looked up online and it still didn't work. The connection issue not just happened to me, but lot of people complain about this. And then I accidentally found best buy started selling exactly the same thing for $899. I talked to amazon that I want to return it because it doesn't work and also best buy has a better price. Amazon said they cannot do price match and I have to pay for the postage myself even though it's the robot's problem. So basically I wasted a whole afternoon and $80 postage, and get nothing. Meanwhile, my friend bought one from best buy for $899, it worked, and best buy even send 2 packs of cleaning sheet for free! Don't recommend buying this from Amazon. Most terrible experience ever.

Fantastic Vaccum
Was hesitant to buy based on price alone, mixed reviews online. It works soo well! I have a black lab and it handles her hair so well. I was worried about it throwing itself down the stairs, I left the magnets in place until I knew I set up the no go zone properly and I have had no difficulties since. It was very easy to set up, it vacuums under beds and end tables with ease. I love this vacuum!
