So much better than a random glass or can
I had been using cans, glasses, whatever i could get my hands on, but I wanted a crisp firm cut for my biscuits so they would stay risen instead of squashed by a glass. America's test kitchen rated these their pick a couple years ago, so I decided to break down and by actual cutters.! the difference is amazing These are sharp and easily cut through biscuits, puff pastry, cookies, but don't smoosh the edges so I still get lift and flakiness. Another aspect doesn't have to do with cutting but storage. Because these rounds all fit into each other, and have a tin with a lid, they are easy to store, don't scatter all inside the drawer, very smart and useful. The sizes are a great variety. These also work for dumplings, cookies, pretty much anything you want a nice round cut.

Handy, but order the larger size
I got these to make sandwich thins. If I had it to do over, I would have gotten two sizes larger. The center one is really small... and if you get the larger size group, you will still have the 4" cutter, plus a couple that are larger. My sandwich thin recipe called for a 4"e cutter.... but Pita pockets need to be made with at least a 6" cutter. ... so I am debating as to whether or not I should go ahead and get the size larger or just squish the 4" circle to become larger. Another thing, I found that if I greased the inside and outside of the 4" cutter, I could put it in a fry pan and pour some scrambled egg mixture in it and cook it. I found that I could also flip it easily to make sure it cooked all of the way through. It was the perfect size for an English muffin.... may put McDonalds out of business. If you do this, make sure that you grease it really well or you will discover just how much an egg can stick. Also, remember to use an oven mitt because the metal gets really hot.

Great Biscuit Cutter
I regularly make homemade buttermilk biscuits from scratch. I grew up using a "perfectly" sized drinking glass to cut the dough. Through the decades, that "biscuit cutter" has broken or been lost. Recently, I have been unable to find the "perfect" cutter, so I started searching the web for genuine cutters. From descriptions I did not like the sizees presented, and I thought the pricing was too high. The press on this set described sizes that were close to the one I liked. They were stainless steel, so I could avoid the breakage. There were two sizes on either side of the one I wanted, and the price was so-so. I decided the risk of unacceptability was minimum, so I bought the set. I am currently using the largest cutter, which is slightly larger than my usual size. I have grown accustomed to the larger size, and I am pleased with the shape of my biscuits. The cutter is easy to dust and sharp enough to cleanly slice even my stickier doughs and it is very easy to clean. The set can store in my special rolling pin, pastry scraper, measuring spoons/cups drawer without causing a clutter. I highly recommend the set for cutting buiscuits. There is nothing fancy, but it is effective.

Sturdy Cookie Cutters
Very good quality cutters, at a fair price. They’re sturdy and they work as advertised.

Just right
I needed some cookie cutters that had never seen gluten, these were recommended and they are good. Durable, actually round and nice variety of sizes. Will probably use them for more than cookies too. Might learn to plate pretty things in disc form!

Fantastic set of cutters- just what I needed
I use these for my sandwiches and bento box lunches. I like to cut patterns out of white and wheat bread and mix the colors of breads, and I also use these to cut various circles in cheeses, lunch meats and veggies, to make abstract art salads. They also come in handy for decorating bento box art- because circles are often the basis for various designs I make. You do need to keep these dry, so wipe them off carefully. I saved some of those packets that dehydrate things (the kind you find in the bottom of the jerkey package, for example, that say DO NOT EAT)- and I put that in the tin with the cutters. So far no rust, and I use these little guys constantly. I especially like how deep these cut, as some cutters aren't quite deep enough for making sandwich art- and some thick breads are too deep to cut through. hmmm- it won't let me add a link. So if you want to see the pictures of what this and other Amazon cutters can do, google "A year of lunches"- my sopressata roll up was the first link that came up for me.
