Fits my 8 year old perfect. Will likely use it til age 10 so for a couple summers. The size is a bit adjustable with the loosing or tightening of the ponytail strap in the back. Life's little victories. We are to happy about this hat getting summer vibes. It's thin so not to hot, durable, perfect for the beach, hiking, sunscreen days. This hat fit my 4 year old perfectly. I had a great design and bright colors. She loves that she can wear her hair up and out of the way and there is a hole in the back for that. She loves that it has an adjustable chin strap this keeps the hat in place while she is playing and the brim is wide enough to keep the sun off of her face. Great purchase.
