Looks and functions like the big ones I get at the big box store, but so much better on the price point, I will definitely be coming back. I ordered some and they arrived squished. I followed the instructions and they fluffed right up. I have a 180 gallon and run 4 of these along with a fluval fx canister. I have one long finned tiger oscar, and several bristlenose cats. The cats LOVE these filters. The filters do a decent job of helping me keep my water clear since both species poop like racehorses. 10/10 would purchase again.

This is only filter that has really impressed me. I've gone thru using so many different filter, but this one is the best. My shrimp are loving it. First time in a long time my tank is clear and clean.

It was very easy to install in my 10 gal fish tank without taking up to much space.

Filter itself is decent. Didn't expect the tube provided to be this short. I expect a much longer tube for a filter this size as most people put their pump underneath the tank inside of an aquarium stand. Also the quality of the check valve is not very good. I have to tape it otherwise it would pop open when connects to the pump.

The media could not be loaded.  It filters more than than what is rated for.I have a 30 gallon tank and I had 2 sponge filters for a 10 gallon tank in 20 min the tank was clear. This filter are great low maintenance don't have to worry about the fish getting sucked up. Great place for shrimp to hang and eat and also snail. Easy to swap into another tank.

I have a 75 gallon tank with a very large filter and it also came with an old one of these but I don't think it was for filtration particularly. I bought this to replace the old one and the fish seem to like the sponge because food sometimes gets sucked to it. I also find my cory catfish prefer to sleep under it. Add in the fact that it provides more oxygen and does some filtering, it is an added bonus.Since it is a sponge, it did arrive misshapen from being shipped in a box. They had some instructions to get the shape back by basically running it under hot water and squeezing it. I just threw it in my tank like it was and it went to normal shape in minutes.Very pleased, and can't really think of any downsides

My aquarium came with a whisper filter but wanted to add this to help keep out algae for my axlelotl but thought this was all I needed. I didn't know I needed to buy and air pump too.

Works great in my 40 gallon tank.

Easy to assemble with your air pump and easy to use. No Hassel of the filter cartridge. Always easy to clean after a week or two. Practical last forever.

What I liked about this sponge filter is that is very silent. Before I got it the water was very murky,now it's prestene clean.
