A: That is where the "stretch" is - at the waist. I really like these, have a couple of pairs. They are durable.

A: There is not a special bag for a phone but the bags on the side are big enough for my phone!

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great Cargo Shorts /w slot for large cell phone and 4 flap pockets.

The fit, the construction using ripstop material, plenty of pockets and if you have a large cell phone these pants have a open slot just above the right thigh pocket where you can just slide your phone in without a flap just a great idea, I like to use wired earphones and just slide my cell phone into this slot upside down (wired side up) and it stays there secure and won't fall out. These really are well constructed & thought out cargo shorts. Totally worth the price, but wait for the sale!
