They are always sealed with fiberglass and epoxy/resin. Other reviews were talking about using it on doors. Not the appropriate product. It is a marine varnish intended to use on boats, kayaks, canoes, etc. Excellent product. I renew the varnish on my boats every 2-3 years. They are stored inside when not in use so less UV damage.
