Wow
I loaded this into my Hook 9. Wow. Everything I needed. Excellent detail. Includes every creek, lake and river I know of. Heck I think it shows some of the mud puddles around when it rains. Lol. Well worth the money. Very easy to install. Just slip it into the micro card slot and power the sonar unit up. Functions as advertised.

C-MAP support is like stepping into quicksand
I asked C Map for the best upgrade and updating dataset for my Simrad Cruise 5 Fish finderthey recommended that I purchase their Discover-North Americ chart chip. I bought it from Amazon for $124Soon after I discovered that C-Map had charged me $5 to talk to their support and used the credit card information the open a $30/month auto pay support subscription. Which was totally unexpected and not not approved by me. I immediately canceled. Thatwhen the C-MAP Discover-North America chart data chip arrived fromAmazon, it turns out it is an SD chip but not the MicroSD chip that fits into the Cruise 5 SD microchip port.C-Maps Support website pages are so numerous and complex that it is impossible to find any thing relevant to such a simple problem and the only way to email them a description of this simple problem refuses to allow me to complete the email and send it because they demand a model number, order number, and serial number of something that has none of those things to allow the message to be sent.Do not do business with C MapTheir Support system is designed to take your money and sell you products that do not actually work the way they claim.If any one reading this actually knows how to get the C-Map Discover-North America Chart dataset from the provided SD chip onto a MicroSD chip that will allow it to be installed into my Simrad Cruise 5, Fishfinder without adversely effecting the data, I would greatly appreciate your help. C-Maps support quicksand has been much worse than no help so far.

Quite good product.....EXCEPT
This is quite a good product, and looks like it will do what I need. HOWEVER...........the description is very misleading in that it says it is compatible with the Lowance HOOK Reveal - that is true BUT there is no capability to use custom depth shading. I found this out after 1.5 hours on the phone with customer support - it took the technician that long to make the determination.If you are counting on having custom depth shading - it is not there. Otherwise I think quite a good product.

Accuracy is Key
I spend my summers fishing the Saint Mary’s River and the northern tip of Lake Huron. This addition to my Lowrance Hook Reveal 7 gives me the ability to link at depths before I get to shallow water and shows where the shelf’s are. With a little bit of a learning curve you can add shading to reflect depths. A really great navigation tool as well as a tool to navigate fishing conditions. Best upgrade I have done to this boat so far!

Does not work in NSX models
It is not clearly identified in the description that this WILL NOT WORK in an NSX model. You need a Discover X format for the NSX line.
