Misleading Photo
Misleading photo. At the time of writing this review the photo on Amazon has 4 mounting holes on each side. The photo on one of the reviews also has 4 holes on each side. The one I received has 5 holes.Is the quality bad? No probably comparable to any garage lock you can buy on Amazon or Home Depot. Is it gonna do its job, probably. Is it going to install just fine, probably.I just hate it when vendors send you something that is not as described to mislead. It's not worth the effort to send it back so I will just use it. They probably switched manufacturer and did not bother to update the picture but some people like me base our purchase on the picture we see so its just annoying.

Worth the money!
I bought 3 of them to have a total of 4 for my shop door.This is way overkill but it allows me to lock the door and stick a padlock thru the hole in the bar. My mechanic shop is not in the best area so I have to go extreme on security!These do the job. With all of them in place I used a 4, pry bar under the door and was unable to open the door! It actually bent my door but didn’t do any damage to these locks.I would say that’s a success.

Cheap security
Pros:- Cheap solution for garage door security- Slide lock is spring loaded so it stays in lock/unlock position.- Fits Overhead brand garage door 2" track perfectly.Cons:- You need 4 #12 x 1/2" sheet metal screws which are not provided. I would give 5 stars rating if the screws are provided.

Love the security aspects
To this day I don't understand why all garage doors do not come with the lock. It's a safety and security aspect. The most difficult about the install was drilling through the steel of the garage door frame

Decent Quality and a Great Price
I added these to garage doors that originally had very flimsy locks. These locks seem to be built to the standards that most garage-door hardware is these days. They were easy to install and work fine.They did come with through-the-door carriage bolts for installation. One lock came with four, the number you would need to do the installation, and the other only had three. It appeared that one bolt had worked its way out of the packaging and was lost during shipment rather than that it shipped short one bolt.

got one good, one bad / not as on the photo.
I bought 2 of this item, at 2 different times.First one: like the photo, I'm very happy. Say 5 stars.The second one (possibly shipped by another company), doesn't look like this, is much cheaper, and I would really say very poor quality.It's not worth the return cost, and I wanted 2 locks for my garage door, so I used it.Still, I feel the second order was misleading.

Helps lock the garage door securely during vacation
Perfect to lock my garage door when I go on vacation. Plus when my garage door opener was not working and I had to open and close the door manually prior to getting it replaced, it enabled me to secure the door.

Dont forget your screws
Good product. NOTE: This does not come with screws. I purchased M4 screws with bolts from Lowes (Less than $2) rather than the sheet metal screw that are recommended.
