I've tried a lot of headphones, but I'm keeing these!
There are hundreds of different kinds of headphones with mic out there. I know, I've probably tried like 30 of them in the last year of reviewing. So I'm looking for some standard features at a good cost to the consumer.==============Pic 1 - The headphones are pretty straight forward. The earbud with flexible ear hook and a remote on the right side of the cable. The remote has three buttons:middle = pause / play / answer call / end calltop & bottom buttons = forward / reverse / increase volume / decrease volumeNo mute option on these headphones.Pic 2 = These are not straight earbuds but have an angle to them. I always have difficulty with these type of headphones staying in.Thus I can push them in and now it is like a noise cancelling headphone, but they quickly slip out of my ears for that. Thank goodness for the hook, which keeps these from going much further out and off.I've done a few 10-mile runs with these and I can hear my music, audibook or podcast just fine without them being stuffed inside my ear providing noise cancelling. Though, I hear a lot better if they stayed in, but that could be my ears and not the headphones as it's hit or miss for me with angled earbuds.Pic 3 = Lots of earbud attachments (small, medium, large), a manual and a very short charging cable.Swapping the parts out are easy enough.Manual was easy to read and there was an English section.Charging takes about an hour, so not long. Two days ago I ran these nonstop at the start of my run at 6:30am, quick standby while I took a shower, then ran it all the way till 1pm that afternoon. At least six hours = great battery power.==============FINAL THOUGHTS:+ Not some strange color. Black goes with everything.+ Earhooks are a lifesaver+ Sweatproof> Angled earbuds may work for some people and not for others like me+ Great battery life+ Clear enough sound+ Different size earbud attachments provided> The cable lock / shortener never seems to work for me. Something that had a spring and clipped to both sides of cable would work better.+ I've taken 30hrs of phone calls with these and people say they can hear me just fine+ I can squeeze the hooks closed upon each other and let this hang from my neck when not in use.I can also hook one side on my shirt collar, so I can hear out that side while still wearing the other earbud.+ $30 cost for these at the time of this writing might be a bit higher than others, but the quality feels better than many of the cheap $20 headphones. Anything more than this and I'd reduce another star.Very good set of headphones for the price. Worth checking out.
