volume to volume
Same as the previous books, just when you're getting bored, the page turns and you're back on the edge of your seat.

Quality
This graphic novel had a sticker on the back. It would be good to know in the description as I wouldn't have purchased it. Otherwise all fine. Also a small bend back on the front cover which probably happened in packaging.

Outstanding
Ok if you are a comic book fan but are bored with the same things from both Marvel and DC then this Title is what you need.It is new with very few continuity problems and has a writing style similar to the old greats from the 60's 70 era.The artwork is amazingly drawn by Ryan Ottley who is now one of my top favourite comic book artists with vibrant colours and detailed action scenes. In this volume characters are further developed and we see the strain of what it is like balancing being a hero and a normal person. But the big thing here without spoiling it is a huge battle in space and a bigger threat that occurs on the planet at the same time as well as a few continuing plot threads. The unfortunate thing about this book is that it is volume 8 so if you are new to the title my advice would be to start from volume one and work your way up, it is totally worth it as the story telling keeps you hooked as to what happens next.Robert Kirkman is definatley a writter to watch out for and I will be looking at some of his other titles soon.

Wow, that was another ride.
Lots of things I could say would be spoilers, but I'm glad our heroes didn't face a tougher end than that. Great climax and good cliffhanger!

Excellent
Kirkman, as far as I'm concerned, is the premiere superhero writer working in comics today. His work isn't necessarily as dark or violent as some of the other artists currently producing stuff, but (in my opinion) it's easily the best. Invincible is a believable hero, with great dialogue and interesting characters. Kirkman makes you care about all the people in his books- there's less "violence for the sake of violence" so that when a fight really comes around, it has some kind of impact. This particular volume picks up on a thread from one of the earliest Invincible storylines and weaves a pretty good tale out of it. I'd recommend picking up all of the Invincible trades... and take a look at Kirkman's Walking Dead, while you're at it! The guy is just a great writer.

Amazing story-telling and likable characters make this a fantastic book to read.
I love these books. Coming from someone that still has a collection of various titles, this stands out as my favorite. The characters are fleshed out and much more than one-liner, big muscled, heroes. The story flows without getting too bogged up in geek speak and gratuitous violence. Anyone looking for a series of books that is different and truly enjoyable, this is the title for you.

Invincible is a solid story by an amazing Author
By book 8 if you're buying it you know why it's fantastic. Compelling story of a boy who finds out he's an alien and has super powers trying to do right in a world full of wrong. Each of the characters has a solid story and I love any book where anyone is disposable.
