This arrived a full week ahead of schedule! The book was in great condition and the translation is clear enough to absorb the message. The book itself is beautiful and a welcome addition to my library. Highly recommended!

Great guy for the price, has everything that you would want besides a side by side translation but if you're going to look for that you're already looking for something more specialized.

Quality of binding, paper and print is poor.

The Vedas themselves are of course beyond reproach, but this translation is horrendously whitewashed beyond recognition. The Vedas are a very religious text, praising specific deities including Indra, Varuna, Mitra, Agni, and Vayu throughout, and mention of these deities and the context of the passages included here have been critically removed, with reckless use of poetic license. What remains here is essentially primitive poetry about nature and man's spiritual quest, with no redeeming entertainment or productivity value in this now different and bastardized form.I would recommend the Debroy version or even just Wikipedia if you need a better summary, and for more devoted seekers I would recommend the full version by Ralph Griffith. Having read a variety of versions at this stage, that is my recommendation as an American Pandit who takes these things very seriously. If you read any of these versions and this trash from Vidyalankar side-by-side, you will see what I am saying within the first few pages you look at; it is glaring and obvious.My love and glory to the Holy Vedas themselves.

Looks good, feels good to hold, paper is decent quality. There are a few typos- if your interest is academic, no big deal, if you consider this is a spiritual or religious text, you may take issue. All in all, nice addition to my collection.

Not sure what happened but mine looks heavily used
