My go-to Garbage Bags...
How did I get to this point in my life where I have go-to garbage bags and would review them? The bags fit my Rubbermaid 13-gallon touch top trash can as expected. They're easy to put on and stand up to my extreme laziness when it comes to taking out the trash in a timely fashion. I feel like they've held together under twenty or more pounds of pointy trash in them without fail, which is all I could ask from a trash bag. No embarrassing accidents yet. Drawstrings are sturdy and haven't broken yet either. Hefty definitely beats the generic brands I've tried, would recommend these for anyone with a 13-gallon bin.

Leaks for days!!!
Don't fall for the Costco-sized value package. Yes, it's cheap. Yes, there are A LOT OF TRASH BAGS. And yes, you WILL find yourself walking to the dumpster (in my case, down 3 flights of stairs, through an alley, and past 2 gated entryways) with a trash bag that is not even 3/4 full but leaking a brownish liquid onto your shoes that is probably a mixture of cat food, taco grease, and if you're really lucky, bonus coffee grounds. These bags are about as durable as tissue paper. I am not exceptionally rough with them, nor do I attempt to load 100 lbs of trash into them. I ordered them in January and it is now September and I am still on the first box - so that's cool - but after cleaning the kitchen floor and my shoes AGAIN after taking the trash out today, I've decided enough is enough, and am ordering something else. Maybe I'll double up the rest of this box? I do that anyway if I notice the leak before it leaves my apartment. If you enjoy wet surprises on your feet, these bags are for you! If not, probably wanna look elsewhere.

Drawstrings are pathetically weak
Without a doubt the worst kitchen bags I’ve purchased in more than a decade. I basically always buy inexpensive, private-label bags from various large, brick-and-mortar retailers. These are the only ones in memory that consistently fail at the drawstring. If I don’t rip the drawstring while tying the knot, it will rip when I try to pull a well-loaded bag out of the trash can. This is an inexcusable failure. The bags themselves seem to have sufficient integrity, but the drawstrings are an absolute joke. Never again.
