Totally worth the money.
This little radio is totally worth what little you're paying for it. The sound is quite good with a decent pair of headphones, and acceptable with the included earbuds. What impresses me the most is the amazing sensitivity of this thing. Mine picks up stations from well over 100 miles away! I bought mine as an emergency radio for information in case of a catastrophe or weather emergency, and it's perfect for that, but now I'm enjoying listening to FM music stations. For the price, just go ahead and get one!

Great little radio
I bought this nice little radio for my partner. He loves it! It fits in his shirt pocket and the charge lasts a long time. I definitely would recommend this radio at a good price ~ thank you. Karen Olson

It's a radio - you can listen for FREE!
This is the story: I have a $1,000 iPhone 8 Plus and can I listen to a football game on a Sunday afternoon while I'm cleaning the house? Sure, as long as I have a ridiculously expensive subscription to listen to a whole bunch of NFL games I don't really care about. My ancient FM-Walkman finally bit the dust and, the techno-geek that I am, I can't listen to a bloody football game with headphones. There were a few options here on Amazon. (Really, doesn't anybody even know what "radio" is anymore?) This was unquestionably the best (not counting the $100+ Sonys still kicking around). It's solidly built and well designed, with easy controls (you do need to glance through the manual to make the most of them). I can say that the reception is quite good. I live in a nightmare reception area, on the wrong side of a hill just a few miles from the city's main antenna farm. the V-112 locks up on a signal quite well even if it has to reject a lot of others. There is a good bit of hiss in the background (the only thing that knocked it down to 4 stars), but it's fine for what I need. The radio is USB-rechargable, and that's a big plus and accounts for its diminutive size and weight. The controls can be easily locked, so your car keys don't keep changing stations on you. It covers both US and Asian AM/FM bands (522-1710 KHz AM, 64-108 MHz FM) and both 9 and 10 KHz AM steps (it conveniently defaults to the US standard of 10).Please don't tell the seller, but this is worth several times its actual cost.

Fits in all pockets, well made and lasts a long time
This is my second purchase, happy gold was still available. My last one lasted over 7 years with daily use, even dropped it many times. I overworked the 3.5 mm jack but in the end it was the charging port that broke. My new one is upgraded with the wider micro-charge cable. Sounds great, nice and clear, no static. Makes walking places a lot more fun!

Needs battery meter.
Gave four stars because three and one-half not an option. Have only used for about a week at time of this review and mainly on AM band.First, size is about same as quarter inch thick credit card. And it is light, about like a single AA battery. I was expecting a bit more heft, especially with a built in battery. Was a bit disappointed with AM reception. Is decent, but does not compare to a good table-top AM radio. For city dwellers likely not an issue, for rural folks the radio orientation matters.Otherwise, the button switches have nice click and feel. The audio jack which has caused me problems with many other devices is working very good so far but time will tell on that. I sat down and read the little manual to understand the memory functions, but is really fairly simple in operation.I use a lightweight Koss headset for listening and therefore cannot comment on the included earbuds. Can say however that sound quality on both bands is about what you would expect from a little radio. Not dynamic but decent.Screen is very readable for tuning and memory slot. Battery power bar though is tiny. Too small IMO. Have only charged battery once, so don't have a good handle on it's life other than it is exceeding my expectations.Lock switch works well. It prevents accidental changes in station and volume from button bumping while working. The ninety minute auto-off can be a pain but is minor point for me.If radio still working well a year from now would have no problem recommending without reservation.Update--6 months since purchased. Have dropped rating one star to okay. Biggest negative is battery life and the lack of a battery bar to monitor it. Imagine your cellphone quitting without warning because battery ran out. Unless you just took off charger and know the little battery is full, there is no way to know when it needs charging till it shuts off then only lasts a few seconds on restarting. No other complaints. Bottom line, radio okay but on a do-over would spend more and buy a full featured small radio.

Trash, don't waste your money.
This radio is trash. The first one I received would only have sound in one channel. I tried several different earbuds with same result. I thought it was just bad luck I got a defective radio. I ordered a second one and hey it produced sound properly BUT the internal antenna was not connected because it was unable to receive anything. I ended up just scanning through entire FM with nothing and scanning AM I could only get one channel (I live in a major city). Then the key board failed and no button would work at all; couldn't even turn it off. This was the first use.... complete trash.
