Presto 07072 22-Inch Slimline Extra Large Griddle

I’m very pleased with this griddle and would rate it a 5/5. The cooking surface heats evenly, which makes it great for preparing a variety of foods like pancakes, eggs, and bacon. The non-stick coating works well, making cooking and cleanup straightforward and hassle-free. The size is convenient for cooking multiple items at the same time, which is helpful for larger meals. It feels sturdy and well-made, with a simple and practical design that’s easy to use. Overall, this griddle is reliable and performs as expected. It’s a solid choice for anyone looking for an effective and easy-to-maintain cooking tool.

This griddle has a huge cooking area, but the lack of big handles and stuff and the low height keeps it surprisingly compact. Most of its area is working space. Very nice finish on the cooking surface. Heating test- I set it for 375, timed, and checked the heat with a laser. Working temp took only 5-6 minutes to reach. Variations in temp across the surface were fairly wide until it reached the working point. After that, variations leveled out; were plus or minus 10 degrees. That is normal as well, with most good grills. No distortion or warp with heat either. It sits close to the countertop, but the heat underneath the grill was not enough to be a concern. The only thing worth noting from the initial test is that the actual temperature runs hotter than the thermostat setting. I found that the 300/325 setting produces the 375 I wanted. This is a pretty typical characteristic of grills, once you know it, you adjust your set points. Overall, looks great. Love the big cooking area without a lot of extensions taking up more space. It's light even though the deck is quite solid, it will be easy to store as well. This replaces a previous Presto grill, which has served for more than 30 years, and still works fine. It's a keeper!

I like this grill! I've been using it on a daily basis for over a month and it's doing great. The surface is slick and really easy to clean. I know, they all are when they're new but I really think this is going to be the longest lasting one I've ever owned. This is probably my fifth grill in the last 10 years so I feel like I am a fair judge of these things. Those complaining about hot spots or uneven heating...they all do that to some degree. This cooking surface on this grill is BIG. The grease tray is huge. You'll never have to worry about it getting to full. I have had no problems whatsoever with this grill! A little bit more than I paid for my last grill but so far it's been well worth it. UPDATE: The grill continues to work just great. One thing I did notice is that this grill does flex under certain circumstances. When the grill is at maximum heat and you pour cold liquid on it it will flex. The back of the grill will flex up a little until the temperature equalizes. It's no big deal and it goes back to normal pretty quickly. No permanent damage or anything like that Just something you may encounter. Do not panic if you see this happen.

So... I bought this because I honestly could not figure out which electric griddle to get. I really liked this on and then one that was more expensive but had a lid and some depth to the pan. The one with the lid had a better distribution of the heating coil so I was leaning that way, but it was more expensive and had a long wait to get delivered. My wife said just get one that you can use until the expensive one gets here. Thats what I did. I ordered a Presto 07072 Slimline Griddle, Black, 22" and Zojirushi EA-DCC10 Gourmet Sizzler Electric Griddle. The slimline came first, obviously. I like it immediately. The slim profile was great. It sits in a little gap between the top of the fridge and the cabinet above it. I used it to make pancakes, chocolate chip no sugar low carb gluten free. Weird household with a ton of restrictions. It was great. I could make 15 smaller pancakes, thats how my kids like them, and by the time I poured the last pancake the first could be flipped. I rocked out 60 pancakes in 4 batches in minutes. The griddle runs hotter than the temp to me, though I did not check it top be sure. I found it to cook very even for it only having a loop for the heating element. It doesnt weave through the pan, just around the edge. That is what bothered me about the pan. I thought there was no way this would cook even. If you let it warm up like they say then it is pretty even. The other pan ended up coming early, but I couldn't get rid of this one. I loved it. It is well made and works very well if you follow directions. Cleans up easily. The only thing I would say about it is, It is only a griddle, so it cant cook like a skillet with a lid can, but it is a really good griddle. Both have worked out really well, one is very expensive though. I doubt I will get rid of either.

Amazing and so big! No sticking whatsoever with a little rice flour on grill. Fits all 15 of my homemade English muffins (3” round). Cooks really evenly for how large it is. A few colder areas in the outer edge and middle of griddle, but to be expected with how large it is. Make sure you have the cupboard or storage space to fit this; it did take quite a big footprint in my large cabinet cupboard. It did arrive with a small piece broken on drip tray (see pics). So I am exchanging. Will update review if need be once replacement arrives.

We got this two days ago and had an “Eggs and Hamilton” brunch party with my kids today. My 3 teenagers love this, and I’m a happy momma. The pancakes cooked evenly, and it seemed impossible to burn them! Once I forgot to flip mine, and they got a bit dark, but zero burnt bits nor burnt flavor. This was fool proof for my kids, and fun for us all to chat and cook together. Typically I stand at the stove when we have big breakfasts and flip pancakes and eggs while they wold it all down. It’s so nice to have us all relax around the griddle and cook and eaT at the same time! Bacon crisped up nicely, and the scrambled eggs worked great. I noticed if I just poured and didn’t scramble, they built up a nice thin crust Which makes me think this will make great omelettes and crepes too. This is a great tool to be able to show my kids how to cook various things, and have them cook and learn at the same time. The four of us easily had room to cook two average pancakes each, 3 slices of bacon each, and a pile of scrambled eggs to divide. All at the same time. Clean up is easy enough with non stick, but it is a bit cumbersome to tilt into my Small-ish sink to Clean with soap/water. Small price to pay though for something my family enjoys so much. Weekend brunch will forever be 100x better for our family.

Worth every penny. My previous Presto lasted 18 years before showing problem with heat distribution; one side was lower temp than the other side. This griddle is ghye-normous. I was able to do bacon and french toast at the same time.The only other difference is the heating elements are encased and not visable, which is fine. This griddle is the best, bar none!!

This was purchased to replace an old Presto that was worn out. We tried another brand as a replacement but that one had really uneven heat. Our pancakes only cooked on one half of the pancake. The Presto is much more even heating and the nonstick surface cleans up well. We like the low profile of the griddle, but you do need to be a bit careful washing and handling it because of the size.

The Good: Amazing quality and fast heating, very large surface for cooking, cleaning is so easy and the surface is none-stick. The Not so Good: Warning This is a 120 volt griddle, it needs a transformer,It doesn’t heat enough to cook quick burgers or steak, heat distribution is not good as the surface doesn’t heat evenly, skip this one if you are looking for a heavy duty griddle.

I am so glad I bought this one and not the cheaper/smaller ones. I can do a full batch of pancakes in MINUTES. No more spending 40min on food-prep for school lunches. French toast, scrambled eggs, pancakes, patties, you name it. It heats evenly and perfectly, so easy to clean, and hasn't left my counter since I bought it. I use it every day - it's replaced my frying pans completely!

Purchased this product about six months ago and it’s either faulty or a bad design. Only used it one time and not the so called “FLAT” griddle plate is so badly distorted to a point that the fat/oil could spill over the rim, I’m now unable to use this product, I have sent emails but don’t seem to be getting anywhere. Being an electrical product one would expect at least a one year guarantee.
