The helmet fit a little big on her, but was a better alternative to the smaller T-Ball helmet that was sized 6.25 to 6 7/8. This helmet fits 6.5 to 7.5 and worked out as long as we had the chin strap on. The helmet was easy enough to get on and fit my daughter without a fuss. She gets to wear the same helmet again this year and it seems to fit much better this year. My 4 year old son just tried on this helmet and it was a bit big on him, but the T=ball helmet that is sized smaller was too tight! So we are going to be going with this size helmet as well and using the chin strap. I helped coach my daughter's team last season and and one of my jobs was getting the kids ready to bat. One thing I noticed was the kids like having a comfortable helmet they could get on and off by themselves. I haven't tried any other brands, but Rawlings offers the cheaper helmets for youth. We bought the Cardinal Helmet on this site as it was on sale for less than $12...The cheapest you can find these helmets for. Target sells than for less than $18 and Walmart for less than $19....so I wouldn't pay more than that for these helmets unless you need a specific color. Most teams at this age do not care what color the helmet is. Boys wore all sorts of colors (Red, Black, Blue and two tone colors), 90% of the girls wore Pink, while some wore blue or black. Great Helmet for little ones starting out and the helmet costing $12 to $19 for an average low price, you can't go wrong!! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great helmet, great value *by R***N on Reviewed in the United States on July 25, 2015* My daughter played t-ball this year, and at her first practice they passed the same two helmets around through all the kids. I was shuddering thinking "lice" the entire time. I immediately went home and ordered this helmet. I chose this Rawlings helmet based on the apparent quality and low cost. We were not disappointed.I was pleasantly surprised by how nice the helmet was, especially in comparison to the price point of the other options available. The helmet is high quality, and fit my 6 year old's head perfectly. There was some room to grow into it, but not so much that it was too loose. I fully expect the helmet to last through another season for my daughter (softball this time around) and still be in good condition to pass down to my son. This would be a great beginner helmet for someone getting into ball who wants a quality helmet at a low cost. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good investment *by A***R on Reviewed in the United States on January 2, 2013* These days between City leagues trying to save money, and sanitary issues, most kids need their own batting helmet.We got one for my 6 yr old, and one for my 9 year old. Obviously, the 9 year old's helmet had a better fit. However, they liked the colors (one blue, one green), they loved having their own helmet as many of the other kids have their own.Thankfully, there were no incidents, ball being hurled at their heads, to test the helmets, but just the bouncing off the ground, tossed in the car, being kicked around the backyard, they have survived one season so far.We expect to get a few more seasons out of them.
