This is my second purchase for this product. I used up my other can and I never seen bear one. What did I use it on? I hike a lot. Mostly going from my car to my campsite or scouting new terrain. I have come across snakes, foxes, badgers, coyote, feral dogs and occasional a cougar.The animal that I mainly used this spray on was Rattlesnakes, Cottenmouth moccasins and Water Moccasin. Every time I walked up on one I sprayed them with a blast of the Bear Repellent and IMMEDIATELY the snakes retreat. I also used this Bear Repellent on a rather large badger and after spraying him twice he turned and left me alone.The company says that this Bear Repellent doesn't hurt the animal and after 30 minutes it wears off. I don't know about that claim because I never stuck around for 30 minutes to find out.Like I said before this will work on all animals. I myself, prefer not to kill said animal because I'm in his backyard and I have to abide by their rules. But lethal action is my last resort.The Bear Repellent came early through the mail. It was packaged in a box with paper stuffed around the canister. There was no damage to the product and it came with a pretty well made holster. The clip on the holster is large so it will fit any regular belt as well as my military tactical belt.The canister itself comes with a zip tie to keep it from accidentally discharging in the mail. You will have to remove this before use. The trigger guard is solid and takes the worry of discharging before you actually use the Bear Repellent.In my experience using this product it blasts a cloud to about 10ft. The further away the animal is the better but being realistic the cloud doesn't cover 40 ft distance.You want to be very careful about what you spray. I have no problem with using this Bear Repellent on a human being that is threatening me or trying to rob me.You must also be aware that if you use this product and spraying upwind you might get a little " blowback " on your arm and hand which you must wash off immediately ( you might feel the burning properties of this Bear Repellent).This is NOT a toy. Don't ever let a child play with this. It doesn't matter if the effects of this Bear Repellent only lasts for 30 minutes and no long-term effects, that 30 minutes will be very uncomfortable and burn not to mention if they inhale it.I don't recommend keeping this in a hot car or exposed to direct sunlight, it is under pressure and could explode.If you're looking for a way to protect yourself from animal attacks or on snakes like I do,this Bear Repellent will work. It is fast acting and not harmful to the animal.I would highly recommend this Bear Repellent and when I finish this can will buy again and again

We'll carry it on the side by side and tractor to back up the bear bells. It could also make a great home defense just getting at the person breaking in without having to use a firearm

We bought the bear spray for hiking trips, we love going to the National Parks. We wanted to be safe, we are not looking to do selfies with critters. NO WAY! Just want to be prepared, this bear spray looks easy to use.

This order was a restocking of this product.This product has been in use for years on my property (originally ordered for my elderly mother to deal with multiple bears) and has done a very good job if sending off Bears and Raccoons. There were some aggressive black bears bothering my mother about 10 years ago [Located in Northern Wisconsin] and she soon trained the bears to avoid the house.I ordered this four pack as the most cost-effective way of buying multiple units as I keep one by my deck door as well as in my UTV. The order comes with a heavy nylon holster for each unit but I only use them outdoors as they would just be an encumberence if needed while at home. The spray projection is about 10-15 feet in my experience and then the spray rapidly spreads out and starts to dissipate. I have found a 1-2 second spray works well and there are several such shots in each canister. The bears on the property have a good respect for this spray and quickly head for the hills/trees when one appears with canister in hand! This is a good alternative to having to use lethal force on our black bears and raccoons.

I checked existing bear spray and it was 20years expired. Geeeez

The size is good, big enough to deter multiple threats . Keep mine handy in my gobag. Nice thing to keep in your car, maybe save ya some ammo. Give one to your woman as a caring gift. Make sure she understands its bear spray.

I bought this for my mom to take on her morning walk in the country. She was not approached by a bear but by two very large Great Danes that began to attack her little dog. She sprayed them and they immediately released and ran away. However, her dog got covered with the blow back. Her dog didn't feel well for a while but recovered. She was thankful to have the spray because it saved her dog's life and probably saved her from serious injury as well.

The spray should go 25’ in a single stream and not dissipate like a water spray
