Ship Simulator 2008

I love good simulators of all kinds. It is a great way to experience things without a lot of trouble.From a physics and virtual reality simulation point of view, this simulator is very realistic and artfully done. While it does lack some instrumentation detail, you get more than what you pay for in this simulation. I have been to Marcelles France to work on a ship there and I found the simulated harbor in this program to be very realistic and just the way I remember it from being there. Who is a German? A German is a piece of gadgetry which does what it is expected to do. And that's what this game is. I bought this title as part of research into a novel I am working on, and I am impressed by its factual presentation

I love this simulator it is a lot of fun controlling ships and boats. I only wish the color was better, because all the water is usually grey. But, other than that you will have a great time if you love ships.

It was a game that my son wanted but there is not any directions or help in how to use the different aspects of it. He isn't able to find out how to do certain parts of it because there aren't any help pages, etc.

I have not used all of this simulator's features yet, but I am very pleased. I think that it is a good buy. I have had lots of fun just cruising around in the different boats and have only scratched the surface. I have not attempted any of the missions yet, but there seems to be a good variety of them. I think that this is a very cool product. It would be even better with a joystick, which I do not currently have, but is not too hard to control with the keyboard and mouse. It gives you both a cockpit view and a birds-eye view, which is nice. I think that it is a good investment if you wish that you were behind the helm of a boat (or ship)!

My son wasn't to impressed with this game. Kind of boring and very hard to understand what the folks are saying. However, the product arrived in a timely manner and was pleased about how the transaction was handled.

Ship simulator 2008 is a fun game and I recommend to anyone who is heavy into PC simulators. It requires a fair amount of patience skil with the mouse.

So I got this and first it was kind of tedious but then I added weather and well the titanic in a hurricane can be a hoot I got 08 cause my laptop is horridly slow but when I get my hands on more computer power I'm going to get ship simulator extremes you tube gives you a good idea what to expect check it out there and see if its for you

I was a little hesitant to buy a used game online when I can't look at the CD, however it worked perfectly. The box was not in great shape but not a problem for my 6 year old; he didn't seem to notice. He is obsessed with ships and the ocean right now and after watching videos of people playing this, asked Santa for this game for Christmas. Now I can't give a full review for an adult gamer as I don't know a ton about ships OR PC games, but it seems like a pretty good ship simulator. There are a lot of features. He mostly likes to create disasters and find ways to sink the ships, and tell stories as he does it, or pretends to be the captain on an intercom. You can adjust the time, weather, etc. Each ship has different features: controls, walk through areas, differences in operation, etc. The missions range from simple to very challenging. I can't comment on the quality of the missions as we really just play our own way or use the Free Play mode. But many reviews say this is better even than later versions.We have an old computer made up of parts from 2008-2012, and it runs totally fine. It was definitely worth $20!
