I use a lot of oils in diffusers, thought I would give this one a go as came across Cooper and Gracie range when buying products for my dogs and cats! A great product to make your home smell fresh! 🧼

I love the scent

I like to use it blends with lavender and lemon when I’m looking for an energising effect, however it is always important to do a patch test with all essential oils but especially with this potent oil. Some people use it as a digestive tonic but I prefer to use peppermint tea instead as it is more gentle.The current price for the 100ml bottle I received to review is an incredibly inexpensive £ 8.99. I would have preferred a glass bottle than this amber plastic bottle but C&G seem to prefer to use it rather than ‘dangerous glass’ however in decades of using only glass aromatherapy bottles I have never known one to break or chip and somehow I have greater confidence that glass bottles are more likely to be recycled and I’m not sure that plastic ones always are.I have dropped a star because I have a problem with the dripper. The hole in it is quite large and it is very hard to control the flow in order to count out the drops. It is important to get the ratio of essential oil to carrier oil right and with this dripper I’m unable to do that. The only alternative is to decant it into an empty aromatherapy bottle with a dropper fit for purpose. It is reassuring that C&G offer a 90 day money back guarantee if you have a problem with it.The plastic top closes very tightly that I cannot detect the aroma of the oil at all, however it is not a child safety cap so it is important to make sure that it is kept out of reach and out of sight of children. Peppermint oil is also toxic to pets so once again it’s important to keep it in a specially designated place.

It needs much more drops than any normal product, a bit disappointed.

Don't get confused as you only get one bottle of oil and not three as the image seems to suggest. The seller is trying to show the single bottle from all angles rather than multiple bottles. Now I have products from this seller before with their pet range and they are always made of exceptional quality and not tested on animals. I diffuse with a carrier oil and add to a roll on bottle which I use for migraine, tension headaches. I recently found it's benefit to rub behind my ears when theh feel blocked and stuffy. Peppermint ice also great for tense and tired muscles which you can either add a few drops to your bath or mix with a carrier oil if applying direct to the skin. Also when in the bath it can be used with a few drops to wake you up with a bit of a zing in the morning.

For less than a tenner you get a generous 100ml of oil suitable for using in a variety of ways. The (plastic) bottle comes with a built-in dropper and is clearly labelled as 100% pure organic peppermint oil. The rest of the labelling covers its various uses as well as details of the manufacturer and a scannable QR code for the makers website. The plastic bottle itself is marked as 100% recyclable.For myself, I have been using this with an ultrasonic diffuser and have been generally pleased with the results. The scent is reminiscent of a Mint Aero or minty toothpaste. There is a nice balance of refreshing soft mint without any background harshness and it's not sickly sweet either. It carries well from the diffuser and produces a room-filling scent, nice for an energising start to the day. As always, scent is very subjective but I would certainly recommend it and for the price it represents good value.
