Soft sides. Lifetime warranty too!

About 8 1/2 inches width left to right. About 4 inches wide front to back. It is very small. May hold a sandwich and a bag of chips. Not much else.

Does this have a separate section for an ice pack?

No unfortunately it doesn’t, but I have been putting it in the outside zipper compartment.
