C&G Pets | Dog Shampoo & Conditioner 1LOur Golden Retriever always suffers from allergies in summer when the weather turns warm, this year has been particularly difficult for him. One of the effects of his allergies is that he gets flaky skin and his coat goes from its usual glossy look to quite dull. I had already increased his daily Omega-3 dose of Flaxseed Oil Softgels, which normally keep his skin and coat looking good but it wasn’t quite doing the job.I knew that oatmeal shampoo is supposed to be beneficial for a dog’s skin and coat so I was searching Amazon for something suitable. After reading the (mostly) glowing reviews I ordered a bottle of C&G Pets Dog Shampoo & Conditioner.The first bath we gave our dog made a noticeable improvement to his skin although his coat still seemed dull. His daily flaxseed oil continued but after nearly a week, his coat was still a bit dull. After a late evening walk, in the recent heatwave, we came home and he jumped straight into his paddling pool to cool down. We took the opportunity to give him another shampoo with the C&G product. He was less than pleased that his cool-down had turned into a bath but after copious amounts of fresh water to rinse him down and a quick shake to dry himself, he headed for his usual happy roll around on the lounge carpet.The next day when he was completely dry, I could already see that his coat was improved and has remained good for the next few days.The C&G Shampoo is a bit thin and it isn’t cheap but I place more importance on having a happy dog than spending a few quid extra. Provided his coat isn’t too dirty, I find that it only requires a fairly small amount of shampoo to get a good lather. We have only shampooed our dog twice so far and there is less than 100ml used, when you consider how much hair there is on a fully grown Golden Retriever, that’s not too bad.I still think the daily flaxseed oil helps with our dog’s coat but I think the C&G Shampoo made all the difference for a faster fix.

That's what the dogs did, smell nice, however wouldn't recommend for the owners to use on themselves 🙂

Been buying this for a few years now as I have a dog that during the summer, gets coat allergies and scabs all over his coat - tried many from Pet stores but this one was the only one that would tackle the issue, however have noticed that the bottles have massively reduced in size but the cost is now past the £20 mark! nearly £30! I guess this is the result of the post hangover of Covid with prices still going up in the cost of living crisis!

My "Irish Tinker's Terrier" is not overly bath friendly but is inclined to dig up rabbits etc so she has to endure the occasional douche. This product seems to work its magic and she likes it - so we do also!

This product helps my two little dogs skin ,stops the scratching so much.and has a nice smell and helps when brushing there hair not so many tangles.
