My pup was itching and had dry skin with red bumps. He was getting ear infections frequently. I thought I was feeding him the best food possible, aside from making our own. So, I've added this probiotic AND I've also added a squirt of salmon oil to his food each day. I wish I had done each separately, because I can't tell you whether it's this, or both, or just the oil, but I suspect both. His poops are healthy, his skin is nice and clear, and no more ear infections! It's been approximately six months of increasingly good systemic health. His mood is more perky and I couldn't be more pleased, so I highly recommend this. Plus, you use so little, that this actually isn't expensive for as long as it lasts. The jar has a small measuring scoop, for my pup's 20 pounds 1/2 scoop does it. About 1/2 teaspoon I'll guess. After six-ish months, we're not running out yet.

I am very disappointed in this product. It didn't help my special guy at all in fact he got worse. He itched and licked all the time to the point of having to use a cone so he would stop and let things rest and I could clean him. He even got crusty patches but never had a smell. Didn't eat like he did before and he was very lazy like. I stopped the product and with in a day he was close to be back to him old self. This is un-rate able so I will just do one star.

I switched from this product to a cheaper product called Upgraded Probiodics by Raw Instinct. BIG MISTAKE. I was hoping to save some money. The Comp product was like diatomaceous earth and caused diarrhea. I switched back!Proviacin-PD is more $$ but works for our 3 Boxers.No more soft stools. Yay!! My healthy fur babies.

My Aussie has a grain allergy (amongst other troubles). He would get a ridiculous amount of hiccups. Even though it was super funny to watch, I felt bad for him. He's 52 pounds, so he gets a scoop in the morning and one at night. No more hiccups or other tummy troubles. Hooray!

I now have two 10 y/o Aussie girls that are once again, peppy and so energetic after 2 weeks of receiving probiotics with their blue every night. I have even given them this by itself after forgetting one night to put it on their food and they lapped it up.

Seems to work for my dog after he had a course of antibiotics.

Makes my dog vomit. :(

I have a 14 year old Bichon whom has a very sensitive stomach. I give her a probiotic treat daily, but was looking to try a different supplement. Proviacin-PD Probiotics comes in an 8 oz jar containing up to 180 servings depending on the weight of your dog. Chloe is only 15 pounds, so the recommended amount is 1/2 scoop daily. I mixed it into her dry food and she immediately started to eat. She definitely enjoyed the taste. The jar states that there is Liver, Chicken, and Bacon flavors in the mix, so I can see why she liked it! She has had no negative reaction from taking this probiotic powder so far. The one con for me, however, is that it states to be cautious if there is a history of urinary tract stones, which my dog does have. It does mention this on this page, but I didn't notice it prior to purchasing. So unfortunately, I will not be using this everyday like I thought I would. It does show that you can also use it when their tummies are upset, so I will save it for when that happens (although I hope not for a long time!!). Overall, it's a good product but just be aware of the contraindications such as clotting disorders, diabetes or metabolic disorders, or urinary tract stones.
