I don't know if it washes out since that was not as important as being able to see the markings on dark fabric so that I can cut according to the patterns. One of the pen's tip already broke after only a few uses.Unfortunately, none of the lighter color markers work on black/dark fabrics - I used the lightest color to trace a pattern and the color just does not show up. If I use the darker color markers on lighter fabrics - yes, the color shows up but I use quite a bit of dark color fabrics - so, this is not a good purchase for me. Back to using chalk and searching for other options.

First order came with a broken marker, returned for same product and new kit came with a dry marker, Amazon won't let me exchange it again, only return/refund. These markers are cheaply made but work great for cross stitch patterning. Even with all the problems they are cheaper than buying traditional washable fabric pens from fabric/craft store with more colour options. If you purchase, check the day you receive them, each marker on each end to ensure they are all good.

I was hoping these would draw on the black nylon leash ( it gives me creeps being dragged thru the yard) so if I decorated it, it would just be a dog leash and nothing else. These would not show up. No matter what color. Disappointed. Guess it will only work on white fabric.

I’ve been using these for years now and have never had a problem with them washing out in the end :)My only complaint is that some of them bleed across the fabric, making it hard to mark individual squares

So long as you wash it within 12 hours it'll wash out. Any longer and it's stuck on forever.
