No filler, just the useful bits - but take "the facts" with a pinch of salt!
I skimmed this book and then started to read the sections in order of my interest. The book gives you the bare minimum required which is good if you just want a reference or reminder. Unfortunately I get the impression this book hasn't been thoroughly checked or updated since it was first published. The publishers website doesn't seem to have any errata so here's a couple FOC.For anyone tearing their hair out wondering why they can't get the numbers to add up in table 9.2 (page 210) there's a typo, it's 10kVA - not 19 as it says. On page 217 the wiring colours are at least ten years out of date (for the UK). Earth hasn't been solid green since the 70s, and live and neutral havn't been red and black in new installations since 2006.... and that's just the electrical installations section. I haven't read the rest yet. So be warned, and get your tippex ready.
