This 25 foot replacement cable fits drum type rodders. The original cable that my General machine came with was a single wound wire with the spiral tip. These are OK, as long as you don't "catch" anything on the rod, causing the rod to twist upon itself and become bent. The 25HE1 has a wire core which adds additional resistance to the cable becoming twisted up. The only down side to these cables is that it adds weight to the rodder; harder to hold in one hand. Make sure the diameter of this cable will fit the chuck or whatever collet your machine has.

i just wish they had a 35'. i think my original was 35' but i kinked it and had to cut 10' off. this will work fine though. i love my general snake. its probably 25 yrs old
