TP-Link 1300 Mbps High Gain Wireless Dual Band USB Adapter, 3dBi Dual Omni Directional Antenna, Supports Windows 8.1/8/7/XP, Mac OS, Linux (Archer T3U)

I was struggling with low download/upload speeds, unstable latency and low coverage signals but the Archer T9UH fixed all that in an instant! Now I am able to connect to my 5GHz with full coverage signals thus having achieving high internet speeds. But the best part about the T9UH is the latency, compared to its competitors the T9UH is known to have a stable low latency at all internet speeds. In my usage I have not had any sudden internet speed drops if there will be its little to none.For the customers complaining about this product, I suggest installing the default windows driver for the T9UH (meaning its basically plug-n-play). Don't install the TP-LINK driver as you will get lower internet speed results. From my experience compared to AC1900s of Netgear and Asus, the T9UH overall is the best pick.

Was a bit disappointing that the linux support wasn't out of the box, but found reasonable documentations on tp-link official website on how to install a linux driver for this wifi dongle.Haven't tried to install it yet, but I'm giving tp-link the benefit of the doubt here with 5 stars and for also their efforts in officially supporting Linux with documentations.If things didn't go well, I'll probably gift the dongle to someone else with Windows & will hopefully come back and update the review. For now, here is hoping things will go smoothly (fingers crossed).

I've been using this product for 1 year, primarily as a wifi hotspot (ie adapter plugged into laptop, and using Window 10's "mobile hotspot" feature, the adapter broadcasts a 5Ghz signal that allows devices such as phones, tablets, and laptops to connect and access the internet). It's basically acting as a wireless router...A few issues I've found using the adapter as a wifi hotspot:* The adapter can only broadcasts 1 frequency (2.4 or 5Ghz) at a time. It can't simultaneously broadcast both 2.4 and 5Ghz signals.* You can't select the broadcast channel (on etiher 2.4 or 5Ghz bands), or select the channel bandwidth.* You can select the broadcast frequency...but selecting the 5Ghz band doesn't always work. Most reliable way I've found to select the 5Ghz frequency band is to disable the internal wifi card within the laptop.* I experienced 1-2 drop outs per day using the 2.4Ghz frequency band (ie all connected devices lose connection to the wifi network for 5sec-1min). I think it's due to wifi congestion where I live (ie there are 10-20+ wifi networks operating on channels 1, 6 and 11 of the 2.4Ghz frequency band). Switching to 5Ghz (where there are only 1-3 networks) I have no drop-outs.Overall the adapter seems to work well enough when used to connect to a wifi network in place of an internal wifi card.But for my use case (wifi hotspot), in hindsight I'd be better off spending a bit more for a dedicated wireless router (or buying a second hand wireless router). The router generally provides a stronger, more reliable signal, and has more customisation options.

Needed a way to get faster Internet after upgrading our hun and the old home plugs not working well with new system.This was ideal, fairly simple to install and has increased the speeds to very close to actually Internet speeds. Was that impressed I gotten next model down for an older PC and works great. Definitely recommend.

I am writing this review using the new WiFi dongle for my internet connection. It is excellent, and I am very happy so far.I brought my office desktop computer home for the week so that I could still do some work whilst covering the kids school holidays. My temporary office space is at the top of my garden, at least 30m away from the router and through a couple of windows. I get full signal strength and no signs of any reduced performance. I bought this dongle with the high gain antenna for this very reason and I'm glad I did.Came with a CD for the driver software which was very simple to install. Plug the dongle into a free USB socket and you're good to go.

Having spent several years struggling with wifi signal in a spare bedroom which was converted to an office, I bought a TP LInk RE365 plug in booster. It improved things a little, but still slow to connect and constant drop outs. Even worse, my mobile phone woudl stay connected to the RE365 when I was in the lounge near the router, so my phone was very slow unless I disconnected and reconnected it. In desperation I bought this AC1900, really expecting no better. Absoltuely wonderful, almost instant connection, no drop outs and good signal & wifi speeds. It sits on the desk but is very neat, in fact my wife knows I have it but still hasn't noticed it. Phone stays connected to the router. Highly recommended.
