Chalk It Up To Grace: A Chalkboard Coloring Book of Removable Wall Art Prints, Perfect With Colored Pencils and Markers (Inspirational Coloring, Journaling and Creative Lettering)

The media could not be loaded. “Chalk It Up To Grace” is the latest premium edition Christian coloring book by Paige Tate & Co. While I have a number of the earlier books, this is the first coloring book I have by artist Shannon Roberts. Ms. Roberts style is both elegant and fun at the same time. She provides an insight into her spiritual inspiration as a Christian in her biography at the back of the book. It's always wonderful to hear about what God has been doing in the lives of other believers. The designs in this book are a mixture of inspirational Scripture and Christian sayings along with lovely designs that surround the words and bring attention to them.The book has 30 full page designs and an additional 14 designs which are printed two to a page. The smaller designs are scaled down versions of some of the full page designs. The pages are mostly black with the coloring elements in white. The way the pages are printed is black ink on white paper. While the pages are perforated, you will still have to cut the smaller designs along the cutting lines provided if you wish to remove them from the book. The larger prints will fit into an 8 x 10 inch frame and the smaller ones will fit well in a 5 x 7 frame.This book, as with the other premium edition books, is printed on a heavyweight paper that is much more substantial than the paper used in this publishers regular coloring books. The book is approximately 10 x 8.5 inches with a beautiful black cover with gold foil accents and pretty partially colored illustrations (and yes, the cover art is the very first page in the book and serves double purpose as a title page and a coloring designs.)Chalk-style coloring is a fun new way of coloring designs. The black background makes the colors you use pop, especially if you use light or fluorescent colors in your work. Some dark colors can end up a little too dark, so you may want to check your colors to see how they work on black before committing to them. I tested a variety of both wax and oil based pencils and had good results with all of them for color, layering, and blending. I use a pencil style blending stick with for my tests. My hard lead pencils provided good color and did not dent the back of the page.

Great coloring book! The paper is simply lovely in smoothness, thickness & quality.. my pencils glide like butter on these pages.. that being said I messed up (which I'm soooooooo bummed about😢) when using the blender pencil.. using it lightly works better. The designs are bigger so it's a nice change from the coloring books with busy, small, detailed designs. The pages are perforated but I've not tried removing them. Color outside the lines.. don't worry.. they've mastered the ink quality & printing it is amazing.. when your colored pencil accidently goes over the lines it doesn't smear black into the design. The chalkboard coloring books are new to me but so far I do like it.. my advice is to have eraser pencils on hand should any pastel or lighter color pencils get on the black part! 😉

This coloring book is adorable! All of the page backgrounds are black like a chalkboard - hence the word chalk in the name. I thought I might not like the black background, but I LOVE it because I can be messy with my coloring and I don't have to worry about getting outside the lines a little bit. This is perfect for when I'm watching TV and don't want to have to put so much effort into making the outlines perfect.You can use both marker and colored pencil. The pages aren't double sided, so there's no need to worry about bleed through. Each page is perforated so you can tear it out and frame it. They're all sized to standard frame sizes too, so no need to trim down. There are little minis in the back of the book that are too cute.The lettering is beautiful and each page is really unique. The pages allow for a lot of fun color variety. I'm 27 and LOVE this book, so it's definitely great for all ages. This would be a perfect stocking stuffer or fun gift.

I really love this coloring book! I have really gotten into coloring for relaxation, so I have bought a variety of books. These black background pages just look so rich and beautiful when I get done with the picture using gel pens. They really are pretty enough to put on display, and they have perforations so you can get the pages out easily. The black background is a little more forgiving of the slip of hand and color outside the lines!!! Yes, we are all perfectionists, aren't we? I like the color feel, it is velvety and easy to put the color on smoothly! Colorists will know what I mean! Go easy on the pressure of your pen, because there is a tendency for a tiny bit of paper to ball up, but if you keep a light touch, that does not happen often. The designs are lovely, such a variety and the messages are good and positive. The smaller pictures will be nice to send as cards to people along with a letter. I am very happy with this book!

I love this coloring book!!! Very well made, page good weight and beautiful page designs. Most of all I just love the way that once you color a page, it just pops out at you, almost like 3D, lol. Very inspirational. Gel Pens are great on these pages. Also, love the fact that they have included smaller versions of the full pages in the back, I have colored these and created cards to send people.

This is a very cool new adult coloring book! The designs are really beautiful and I love that there is so much to color. There is also a really fun variety of things to color - flowers, pinwheels, umbrellas, ocean scenes, butterflies, coffee mugs, balloons, fruit - the list goes on, but the images are darling and go along perfectly with the different bible verses. I also really love the lettering in this book and how it is supposed to look like a chalkboard. Very fun! The black background makes for such EASY coloring because if you go outside the lines, you can't tell! But I would even hang these on the wall without coloring them because they are so beautiful even in black and white! Lol :)

A folha é de excelente qualidade e as ilustrações são impressas em apenas um lado da folha, sendo o verso da folha em branco, possibilitando o uso de vários materiais, inclusive marcadores a base de álcool. O fundo das ilustrações é preto, facilitando para quem não tem costume de colorir fundos, ou apenas não quer se preocupar com este detalhe (assim como eu😂)E o fundo escuro dá um maior destaque no caso das ilustrações serem coloridas com canetas com glitter e metálicas. Sou simplesmente apaixonada pelos livros desta ilustradora.
