Easy dryer hose connection, no hose crimping.
I struggled mightily to hook up my dryer when I moved in last year and vowed to make it better. The old, unsecured dryer vent moved towards the outside as I pushed the dryer, and I had to use an 18" exhaust hose to give me enough room (while laying on the floor) to clamp the hose onto the exhaust port. I installed a new galvanized dryer hood and pipe, reinforced the wall with 1/2" plywood, and then installed the Magvent MV-180. Game changer! Installation was a breeze. I stretched out the supplied 4" foil hose that came preattached to the magnet and attached it to the dryer exhaust pipe. I did find it easier to have my helper tighten the hose clamp with a 5/16 nut driver while I held the dryer hose in position. After that, my helper started pushing the dryer into position. When it got close, I briefly picked up the end of the hose/magnet and watched with satisfaction as it jumped the last 1/2" and connected perfectly to the wall flange. Pushed the dryer 5 or 6" and was done. Great product!

MV-180 seems to work well, dryer does sit ~ 1” further out – time will tell how well it works
Access to our dryer vent requires moving a front-loading washer (HEAVY) that sits in a drain-pan (awkward to do without damaging the pan). Due to the dryer shape, can’t even see the vent looking down the back. After install, the dryer does sit just a bit further from the wall, which was not really mentioned (and actually think they said less). Had to remove some molding to get bracket to sit flat to the wall (noting had to cut a bit extra clear the snap-lock). Installing the screws, I intentionally “leaned” them such that their heads were closer to the centerline, as tail-piece doesn’t have much clearance to the screw heads once it’s installed. Our lateral offset (dryer vent to wall vent) was only 1 or 2 inches and this seemed to have worked well for that. The flexible duct does extend when pulling out the dryer, and hoping that makes getting it re-engaged easier (though haven’t yet tried it with the washer in-place). The magnetic alignment is also assisted by circumferential grooves, so the radial alignment seems to work well. Bought a kit to clean the ducts and did that as well, and doing that more regularly is a big reason we changed to this.

The best dryer vent tubing system
I happened upon this jewel when I needed to replace my dryer vent tubing after purchasing a new dryer. My goodness how this thing upgrades your regular options! Installation was simple even for this elderly grandma. Directions were easy to follow and I had it installed just in time for them to deliver my new dryer. The section that goes in the wall to the outside vent was a two piece part that gives it a nice custom look. It snaps onto the base with strong clips so it shouldn't come disengaged without considerable effort. The second piece has a flexible tubing but is compressed until you pull it out. It is attached with a band, just like any vent tubing, Next you just push the dryer toward the wall and the the two magnetic ends amazingly find each other and form a tight connection. My model was for a connection that is straight from the dryer to the outside wall but they have another model for connections that are offset. You can't go wrong choosing this product. It's a bit more expensive than the cheap regular, everyday stuff but you get what you pay for. Highly recommend this!

Installation more challenging than video shows but final install works well
I have an older house 70's and the sheetrock around the dryer vent was very crumbly so it was more difficult to install this that the video showed. It was also harder to cut and fold back the metal pieces for the existing exhaust tubing. It did not fold down flat but kinda curved and did not make a sharp 90* angle. I also had to cut my baseboard more that i would have expected. I gave this 4 stars because after struggling to install-- it did work well and I have not had any issues with the vent coming loose from the wall. I just want people that are just slightly handy to know that this was a frustrating installation and took me close to an hour.

Awesome but I have a few suggestions
I just installed the new dryer vent. And I have to say it was so easy. It took me maybe 30 minutes. Previous times I would probably spend half the day trying to get it all aligned multiple attempts. This made it so much easier. My dryer has no access to the back. The washer is right next to the sink, which is right next to the wall, and on the other side of the dryer is the water heater. So I can’t access the back, this has always been a struggle. But I do have a few suggestions for the manufacturer:1. First of all if you could make the base that attaches to the wall larger so that the screw holes are further from the dryer vent hole. It would be easier. At least at the top. The wall was old and required a little bit of extra effort to get the base to attach well.2. I did have to use a crowbar to tap the side on the dryer to get it to magnetize to the wall side. But a slight tap was enough. It might be something you could add to your video to help people with their installation.3. I am familiar with strong magnets. So I was very careful when holding the magnetized pieces. But you might want to add a warning to help others to be careful not to damage or hurt themselves, when handling the magnets.

Mag-vent works great!
The mag-vent arrived quickly and was easy to install. Because of my wall, I had to make some adjustments to the wall surface. After that the installation was fast and easy. The magnet securely holds the end of the vent tightly in place and the short hose means that there isn't any long loop of compressed hose behind the dryer. Now we can use the dryer without feeling heat and moisture enter the room. I would buy again.

Why Choose Anything Else?
I have a limited space in our laundry area for the washer and dryer. The prior dryer vent connection was unsatisfactory and became disconnected resulting in lint being spread in the crawl space of our home. In my search for a solution I came across Magvent. I read the instructions and watched the video. Installation was exactly as depicted and very easy to complete. The reassuring "click" as the magnets mated was all I needed to know I'd made the right choice in choosing Magvent.
