These were a great addition to stockings this last Christmas. The kids knew that Santa exists because mom would NEVER give something that used sand in the house. I was so funny watching the kids explain that one out.Really though, these are a fun things to do, and simple enough that 5 year olds can do them without too much help or instruction. peel off whatever stickers on them you want that color, and dump the sand packet that color on... then dump excess sand onto a paper. Move onto the next set of sticker spaces you want the next color, and do it again. I do recommend that you have a couple papers under the sand art piece to catch excess sand. They do make beautiful peices of art. The kids... (and parents) are entertained and proud of their artwork!

Bought these for two different age groups, kids 5 to 10 and 11 to 14. Both groups had fun making these and were able to do it independently. The usual place I purchase these no longer had them. Thanks to Amazon I was able to get them and at a reasonable price. Recommend putting newspaper or other table covering down before making these.

Hard for kids to peel off. If not careful you peel too much off and just get to the cardboard. Kids enjoyed, beautiful design.

Great project. Used at a birthday party. I would say better for a 7-8 year old range because it is detailed and requires some patience to remove the sticky parts. Do as an outdoor project, because it is messy!

Fun

I ordered these for my second grade class and they had a lot of fun with it. I was surprised that none of them had ever done sand art before… so it was pretty messy and many of them had a hard time staying within the lines. I submitted two pictures one where they follow directions and the other one not so much. 😂

Great item. This was used for a Girl Scout activity. My 6 year daughter loved it so much, I am buying them to pull out when I need an activity that she can do on her own.

Interesting and good variety of designs, but the supply of sand for each design is too low, and some sections on the discs are not cut all the way through. You have to re-cut the edges of some sections you are working on to avoid removing a neighboring section.
